If only managing my music was as quick and easy as managing my apps.

On a roll right now clearing mostly casuals games I bought and thought were good (from the 5 minutes trial that all games get when I first purchase them) in the past few months off of my iPod. I organize my games alphabetically by folders. Down to 211 apps on my iPod now. Just deleted Amazing Breaker, Bird Zapper, Blobster, Carnivores: Ice Age, daWindchi, and a few others after trying them out again. Only on the E folder so far. Hoping to get back down to 200 on my iPod. Shouldn't be too hard.

Such a fail on my part - I tried the trial version of the one Square mentioned and I couldn't even find the save file! I really don't think any of that stuff is going to work for me so here's hoping for some kind of cloud save in my lifetime!

Add Early Bird, Fight Night, Gravity Guy, iDaTank, Knights of Phantom Castle, Online Sniper League, Spirits to that list. About 2 GB of free space now! Enough room to put A6 back and some other games I deleted for room a while back. But yeah, this is getting tiring. Down to 205. Good enough for now, lol.

That's a good idea, Backtothis! I had never thought of sorting folders alphabetically. I just use genre, but I might have to give alphabetically a try.

I used to do that. Then it became way too hard for me to choose which game fell under which genre at a certain point. Going to really pay attention to what I buy now though, even more than before.

KEEP THEM ALL! If you don’t want to play it some time, maybe someone else will! Or maybe one will get a great update worth going back to play! :D

But when space is tight, do what you must. Here’s what I do: I keep a sticky note on my OSX Dashboard listing games I have removed. A way to quickly browse the games I might otherwise forget, in case i ever want to go back to them. If you do, you can always re-install just that one game.

But I can’t bring myself to delete a game I’ve made great progress in. (Apple really needs a simple, standard way to keep your progress/scores/other app data and recover the data for any ONE app from backup at will. Maybe iCloud is the answer.)

Lol, my iPod is the only thing I never let anyone play with, so there's definitely no one that's going to be playing anything I don't want to play on it. I let my family and girlfriend have access to my iTunes account though so they can download the games I've bought at any time. In any case, iTunes keeps track of everything you've ever downloaded under "Purchased" on iTunes, so there's already a list you can refer to without having to manually write anything down. Like I said, there's no point keeping trash. Getting over deleting a game that cost a dollar or a few dollars is like shitting out the candy bar and fast food you bought for the same amount.
