    Anyone know how to add PDFs from your computer to a 3rd Gen Touch? I tried using Discover and Stanza, but neither of them work. I also tried using iPhone Explorer, but when I tried to sync it froze. I have waited for over 2 hours and it still hasn't changed... Why is it so difficult to put eBooks on a touch? Please Help!

    Back when I needed that, I used a program called PDF Agent that works well.

    It's 99 cents, however.

    I use iFiles for my stuff. It's $1.99, but it supports a lot of stuff besides just PDFs. As for Stanza, I think you need to download their client to get PDFs onto your iPod, and open it it with the Stanza app. Not sure what you did though, and I haven't used it myself.

    @KGame: There isn't a lite version :/

    @Kamazar: I tried iFiles, but it wouldn't connect to their server. I also tried using the Stanza client and had share enabled, but the iPod wouldn't find the computer under file share :/

    Did you go under settings and use that IP address? It doesn't connect to their server, the iPod connects to your computer.

    Well, iFiles and Discover were supposed to work great, and they did for quite a few people. Neither of them worked for me though, so I would rather not buy unless I know it will work 100%.

    If you get iFiles, and you have WiFi (or at the very least, a Mac), I can guide you through it pretty easily. PM me if you decide to get it. Even if it doesn't work, you can get a refund. There's no real way to be 100% without buying an app, however.

    Well I put the IP given in the box in my browser and it didn't work. I tried putting the IP in a WebDAV(Something like that) and it still wouldn't connect. Both the iPod and laptop were on the same network. I followed a guide and I couldn't get it to work so I gave up. Also I have a pc... I despise Vista.

    I use GoodReader and it works fine with my Vista :rolleyes: pc. It is specifically designed to work with large pdf's. It's great-- it maintains the formatting, chapters, and bookmarks. I downloaded a 700-page anatomy textbook with hundreds of illustrations, and it renders the illustations nicely. I paid a lot more than the 99 cent price it has now...and it was worth every penny. It's updated frequently with new features.
