I'm actually shocked that the number of people under 16 isn't over 50%, gaming is a hard hobby to stay actively engaged in after a certain point.
So most of the users of this site are too young to remember when there wasn't always a World Wide Web. Meanwhile... Our first (very expensive) PC had a 60 MB harddrive and just under 1 Meg (yes, ONE) of RAM. Ran MSDOS, obviously; that was pre-Windows. And that thing kicked ass. Of course, it was the size of a suitcase, and this little iPod has about 25,000-times more storage capacity.
My first (non-Apple) PC had a hard drive smaller then that, it couldn't have Simcity and After Dark installed at the same time.
Please don't call all those people idiots. The fact that the age of most posters here is so young actually reassures me a bit. Now if all those 'idiot' posts came from grown men in their twenties, then there _was_ a problem. I don't suspect you had coherent structured and intelligent conversations when you were ten or even sixteen, or did you? I'm not name-calling here by the way; just saying that the sort of posts here are very natural for this age group.
Jedi he was being sarcastic, reread his comment (pay attention to the author of both quotes) it's actually really funny.
Ah yes, I see now. It was a bit too early in the morning here to spot the sarcasm But still, I have been reading a couple of threads on this forum, and a lot of people seem to be annoyed by the immaturity of some replies. I have to admit, I was surprised about them too, until I came across this thread, which makes it all so clear. 10-year olds are immature. Give it some 10 more years
