I'm going to buy an iphone case so I would like to know what kind of cases do you use? And how much did you buy it?
$30 for a Skullcandy case which is absolutely amazing. I have it for like one year, and it still looks almost new, and the screen protector that came with it has no scratches.
Every case I've bought has lasted 2 months tops. I think the soft cases are trouble for that reason, but I don't really like the hard cases much. What I've most recently purchased, hoping it will last longer, is a Sena Cases "Vista" leather case. It's a pretty nifty design although it has the downside that the back is not flat, so it teeter totters a bit. The bonus for that is it has a nifty little kickstand which has come in handy at times: http://www.senacases.com/apple/iphone-4-cases/vista/ Unfortunately two things have gone awry. The kick stand has come off completely once because of accidentally trying to lift the wrong side! I did this once, and my son seems to have done this once, resulting in it pulling off entirely. It turns out it's just attached with glue. Fortunately I was able to glue it back on and it seems good as new now. The other thing that's happened that was even more bothersome for a while is that on the front edge, a thin strip of the leather started to peel off. Eventually I pulled all of that thin strip off and ... well now it seems fine. So I'm back to liking this case, but it hasn't been trouble free. It does look darned good and I *really* like that the top, bottom and side buttons are very open and fully accessible. No trouble for fat headphone plugs or dock connector cables, both of which I have. Also, the case is thin and so doesn't add much thickness or weight and the buttons are uninhibited. Overall I really like it, with the caveats noted and I'm back to being hopeful that this will last quite a bit longer then other cases I've bought. EDIT: one other caveat worth noting, but it seems to be a common refrain with cases - while the opening for the camera seems adequate, it messes up the flash. The flash reflects off the opening and makes for a very hazy picture. Even another case I had that said it didn't interfere with the flash actually did, just a bit less then this one. On that older case the corners of photos would end up hazy. I've just taken to mostly not using the flash. Pictures look better without flash anyway. I do use the flash as a flashlight fairly frequently, though. If I ever need to take a flash photo I take the case off, but as I said, flash photography isn't a positive for me anyway.
This is the case I have for my iPod 4g: http://cgi.ebay.com/iPod-Touch-4G-Hard-Case-Cover-Black-Color-Stars-/260738430324?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cb538b574 It was only 5 dollars and it's a hard shell case, not a silicon or rubber one which is annoying to slide into your pocket.
You are really using this one? If it's for me, I don't really dare to take it out infont of other people because it's too cute
Uhhh $0. Didn't have one for my tough, 3GS or iPhone4 now. Probably won't be getting one for iphone5 either but I always stock up on screen protectors.
I had a 25 dollar skullcandy peice of crap for 2-3 months, now i have a $25 invisishield-it's alright.
