I've been tallying up how much I've spent on my iPhone and its accessories and to be quite honest, it almost makes me sick. I'm sure there are people out there who have spent much more than myself, but I realized today how expensive my phone really was: $400 3G S (I lost my first one so I'm doubling the price I paid) $154.27 in apps $60 attachable battery $50 Otter Box case $50 on-the-go charging case $30 leather slip-on case $30 external speaker set $30 custom earbuds $15 Otter Box belt clip $15 neck-strap $15 anti-glare screen 3-pack $15 extra USB $12 car charger $5 to tack on for good measure. Grand total: $924.89 including tax over the course of 1 year. The apps were added last because tax is applied upon purchase. So how much have you guys spent (not including monthly bills) on your iPhone and how do you feel about it?
Everything I've ever spent on Apple: Original iPhone - £200 iPhone 4 - £600 Apps - approximately £150 Accessories - approximately £100 = total of ~ £1,050, which is ~ $1,650 Not quite as bad as I thought it would be.
Original iPhone: $200 iPhone 3GS: $300 Original iPhone Case: $40 3GS Case: $25 Apps: Somewhere between $200-$300
120 for my 8gb iPod Touch and case (technically it was for a 500gb external harddrive. I traded with a friend when I got a new harddrive.) I just added all of my purchases since I first got my iPod (November 2009): 366.9. $486.9 over 9 months. Not bad considering what most people spend on games and other hobbies. That's about $1.8 a day. If you only count apps, it's $1.35 a day. in iTunes, click on the little arrow in the top right of the store. Then go to Account. You can see purchase history halfway down the page. It keeps them in batches at the bottom of that page, so you dont need to add them up one by one.
$257 - iPhone 4 after tax (sold my 3gs on craigslist for $250 so I broke even) $271.65 - to date on iTunes Apps, Movies, & TV $20 - Nike headband headphones for running/gym $20 - Philips 3gs case (no use now) $40 - Joby GorillaMobile Tripod $10 - ATT 3 pack screen protectors (never again) $7 - 3 Chinese knock off iPhone 4 cases, till apple ships me my free bumper. Planned Purchase $15 - Zagg invisibleShield (40% off code from their site) $10-15 Best Buy Zagg pro install, since I suck at doing this. Grand Total = About $655.65 I'm kind of sick about how much I spend on apps and media, but . . . I'm an appaholic! I need help . . . Edit: Almost forgot, I did upgrade my car stereo so it had a usb plugin with an iPod/iPhone sync interface, and bluetooth speaker out for calls. That was about $300 New Grand Total = $955.65 sigh.
Well, if I count only my iPhone 4 purchases on Friday: - 2x iPhone 4 32GB (C$269 + 13% HST) = $607.94 - iPhone 4 dock: C$29.99 + HST = $33.89 - 3 Best Skins Ever: US$25 (ordered those 2 weeks ago so they'd be here in time) - $25 iTunes gift card for apps (because my CC is maxed and my last payment hasn't gone through yet ) Total of about C$693. Mind you, I'm going to be purchasing 2 Exolife battery cases when they become available in a couple of weeks, so that adds another $200 to the tally. (They look much sexier than the Juicepack Air, have clear sides so don't totally hide the lovely iPhone 4's design, and have a bigger battery.)
iPhone 4 $200 (sold my 3GS for the same price) Bumper $30 still waiting on a refund for this Zagg full body shield $25 iFrogz case for better protection (trying this thing on ripped apart my Zagg shield) $30 I thought about getting the dock but surprisingly my first gen iPhone dock (which came bundled with the phone) works perfectly with the iPhone 4 And Wrapsol Ultra for $30 which was almost a complete waste.... I originally wanted the side film so I could make calls with it on my left hand w/o having the signal degraded but it won't fit in my cases anymore. I thought about using it without any case but then I heard about someone on another forum shattering his iPhone 4 screen after dropping it a few inches from the ground. Wrapsols claim to have drop protection to prevent scratches but it doesn't mean the screen can't shatter with the film on. My cases will do a much better job with drop protection so I ripped off my Wrapsol.
Is there a way to just see the total you've spent on apps rather then add up what you see in batches?
probably around 500.00 by now. probably closer to 600.00 however, most of that was spent with in the first 3 months of owning my ipod. then Christmas came and the free trend started happening.. now i spend like 20.00 a month on apps. and go for sales. chris. so far this is my fav free game of all time i have scored: http://appshopper.com/games/chop-sushi i love this game so much
buckaroos, usd, dollar the main reason why i spent so much is because music apps are not cheap it seems.
