I wish I knew. I wish you could see a complete list rather than shuffling through pages of them on iTunes. So when your sig says "currently playing," this is just a list of 2% of the games you buy?
Probably at most $100. And I already think I'm addicted. I can't believe the people here. $1000? Crazy.
I'm just saying that they are way too many games and probably don't even finish them. Just my opinion.
Yeah but for some people, a cell phone is a must. Its the $30/month on the data plan isn't really necessary. Using this analogy, it should make sense to spend $10,000 on your TV/Stereo system because hey, you spent $200,000 on the house! It doesn't make sense!
I think that people who have been around since the app store first launched may be in the same boat that I am, being that in the begining, games of high quality were few and far between. As such, we gravitated to purchase every "big" app that came out, and we are still stuck in that cycle, purchasing everything that looks halfway decent. Whereas people who jumped on the app store wagon later are used to seeing quality apps being released at a somewhat consisent and constant rate so the hold back on buying everything that looks good and just buy what they think they will play and get their money's worth out of. IDK, just my two-cents
That is more what I am talking about.. I have a cheaper cell plan and an iPod.. use the money I save to buy apps.
Nah, I've been looking at the AppStore ever since it was first launched. I never really bought anything in the beginning, but after 2008 I finally cracked and began purchasing a few iTunes giftcards. I'm not super addicted though. I always look at the game and look at reviews online. The 9-page limit on my iPod Touch helps control me because I always want to keep all my apps on my iPod; I don't like leaving apps that I purchased on my PC. I'm already on 9 pages and I always think about whether a game will stay on my iPod or if I would want to take it off.
Its been a balancing act for me. Using these forums and youtube to make educated decisions about buying. I expect a lot out of my $ on the iPhone. Especially since once I complete a game, I cant resell it. I need to know that a game will keep me entertained more then 30minutes.
My standard is $1 for every 30 minutes of gameplay. But most people here expect more from casual games.
I played PC games too long I guess. I bought the original Half-Life for $30 and played counter-strike several hundred hours. I dont expect that kind of life out of iPhone games, YET, however I do like to get as much as I can out of a game. This is why I am looking to Zenonia. Though no one has answered me as to if this game is a port or a uniquely iPhone game with a polished feeling.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZENONIA "created, developed, and published by Gamevil for the iPhone OS"
Okay, Does it feel like a port like BBS2009 did? My first impressions of 2009 were great, but after a couple weeks the game started to feel clunky. Wish I could explain myself more,.. and wish I was keeping this thread more on topic.
I've spent just under 80 dollars since mid June. I used to spend more, like get an app every day, now it's once to twice a week I'm glad to say
