No doesn't matter. Can't use them for anything except adding up your total I guess. You can still view all the receipts and purchase history on your itunes profile page though.
You don't need to do that in email, all you have to is simply go to your account on itunes and click on purchases. You will see all your purchases along with totals, this way you will be 100% accurate and you can easily add it up!

There is no grand total. You have to tally up the Amounts in the right column, you will see several or more of them on the pages, depending on much you have spent. I simply totaled up mine since the day I bought my first game on Feb 10 of this year, and I got my total of $ I spent!

Do we count giftcards? I've spent one $15 giftcard mostly on stupid apps that I'm regretting. (I didn't think to really dig into review sites.) I've also gotten some promos from a p p Ver sity (why the censor?). Of my own money, I've spent...fourteen dollars! Five of that was on Tetris, though, which was such a waste. It's just not as fun as the PC versions, and I never play it.
