I've find that gaming has gotten better on the mac since I got it - not PC standards, but definitely good for retro gaming
I didn't read the iTunes terms and agreements so Apple literally owns me now. I'm part of a humancentipad
I call BS. If you get a NEW Android device, it not only blows the iPhone out of the water specs wise (i.e. G2X, Galaxy S II), but you'll have so much freedom with custom ROMs, choice of browser, Internet downloads, etc. that you'll never switch back.
thing is I just like the design of Apple's products - iOS feels completely natural, especially after it's been jailbroken.
I've always been a Mac person, and of course I had iPods, then an iPod touch, then an iPhone and now an iPad 2. However, I try not to be a fanatic. I think Macs are great for everything but games, though it does have some games, just not nearly as many as Windows. Of course you can run bootcamp and have the best of both worlds, though it does require rebooting to get into Windows, so not ideal. Myself, though, I have an Xbox and Wii for those types of games and I love my Xbox, and the Wii, but I don't play the Wii so much any more myself (my kids play it a lot, me just occasionally) - I'm looking forward to Nintendo's next console at E3 and getting back into Nintendo gaming. As far as Macs only being good for music production, that's rather silly. I *love* BBEdit for my code editing. Fantastic code editor. Pages is a very nice page layout/word processor. It doesn't have as many features as Word, but it also has features Word doesn't, such as good page layout, and the features it has work well, unlike many of the features in Word (Word's styles are evil in particular - how I do hate them). I think iPhoto is pretty great. Also iTunes works well on the Mac. Yeah, Apple needs to rebuild it for Windows, but it works fine on Macs and I rather like it for playing music at home and managing my music for my iPhone. Smart playlists are awesome. Etc. Also, Macs are pretty trouble free. In spite of years of people trying to convince everyone that viruses, spyware, etc, are right over the next hill, Macs are completely virus, spyware, etc, free and pretty much always have been. Whatever the reason for it, it's true. I don't run virus checking software because it's completely pointless. The only people advocating it's use are the makers of such software and other people with a vested interested in you using such software. Tech support people love it because it causes tech support issues, at least that's my theory. Virus protection software has caused problems the times I've used it, and solved none.
I have a MacBook Pro (late 2008), an iPhone 3G (will probably update with an iPhone 5) and now an iPad 2. I also have an old iPod (20 GB hard disk, b&w screen) which still works great.
Really didn't think I was owned too much but then remembered my shuffle, nano along with my previous Touch and now with the newest one and even giving the iPad a closer eye for a possible future purchase, a little surprised but tabbing on the third option within the poll. Not too interested in any other line Mac has to offer....so far.
This times a trillion billion. Here is a rough comp. for Google and Apple for me. In the meat food market, there are two types of farmers. The farmers that feed there animals natural grain, and don't use growth hormones and the farmers that inject so much growth hormones into animals they can't walk. To me, Apple is the latter farmer and Google is the first. I just love how Google is playing the good guy role. Open source, cheaper costs, net neutrality, bringing free internet places, sponsors tons of good initiatives and etc. As much as I love my Apple junk, I am literally just waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to release so I can buy that, and for the Samsung Galaxy S 2 to release, to get that and hopefully, they can improve Google TV and Chromebooks to the point where I can replace my current stuff with em. I want Google to control my life, and even with all the recent privacy concerns, I kinda trust them. I think I was the only person in the world to actually like Google Wave, and I think I use most of Google's services. They make my life easier, and are all about customer support and acceptance where all my experiences with Apple, the company, have left me feeling like they are trying to screw me. Nonetheless, I still own a 4G, 2G iPod Touch, iPod Classic, iPod Shuffle, iMac and a Macbook, so, yeah
It's just me, my lonely iPod Touch 2G, PSP, DS Lite, PS3, Wii, PS2, and HP Pavilion. I'm adding the NGP, 3DS, and iPod Touch 5th gen to my collection soon AKA 1, soon to be 2 Apple Products.
A few months ago, Apple finally persuaded me to buy a the iPhone. Though they did this by the headphone input on my iTouch going bad. I've been contemplating back in forth with my inner self about possibly getting an MacBook Air... but the cost and the fact that they upgrade them every year always makes me change my mind. Now if Google did put out a computer similar to the Air, they would almost instantly get my money...
I have lots of apple products (iPad, iPod Touch, iMac) but I don't feel any sort of loyalty to buying them definitely not an "apple fanboy" Cause I love me some android too I use iOS devices for casual gaming, but I still think there's a long way to go till iOS games are on the level of nintendo, sony and microsoft console games. There's a lack of depth in most games; not saying that's a bad thing though. I don't have time to spend hours at a time on gaming nowadays.
