Original iPod, battery died years ago used it as an external drive for a while. iPod with the four buttons and scroll wheel, dead. iPod click wheel, dead. iPod ...video? Or whatever the clickwheel was that had a color screen and played videos. Battery dead, currently using in bathroom hooked up to a iPod speaker dock. iPod mini, two different iPod nanos, 1st and second gen iPod shuffle... AND finally rev A. iPhone and iPhone 3G. I guess looking back on my iPod purchase history now that I think about it, iPods are hilariously unreliable and are pretty much disposable electronics. Out of all those I only have my 5th gen iPod, iPod nano, and 1st gen shuffle that I still use.
My oldest iPod (which was the first one and purchased a few days after it was released) is now my audiobook only iPod .... it can't hold a charge anymore so it has to stay plugged in but I still use it.
No....not really. I was a complete newb to mp3 players and started out wanting music so a simple shuffle is what I got. Then discovered...ITUNES and then wanted a screen which led to me playing the standard 3 little games my Nano held (2nd purchase) ........then wanted MORE GAMES.........and purchased the Touch without knowing what a truly wonderful device it was and have fallen completely over into........gaming land which led me to TA!!!
I am soooo with you on that! Many friends do not understand ... that's why I love this forum .... I'm among those who do.
I have every iPhone and iTouch model except the original iPhone. It is great for testing my games And I have 1 classic, and 1 nano (lates gen. I think 4th)
