    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Excluding lite versions, I have 4 of them. Bros. in Arms, Hero of Sparta, Assassin's Creed and Modern Combat. I'm working on upping this to 5 with Blades of Fury but Hybrid took my money. Ah well. I'l probably just get Asphalt 4 instead.

Ugh, Jesus Christ.. Doesn't anyone get it yet?? Like... Anyone? Anyone at all??

*sigh* I guess not. Anyway, Gameloft was originally founded in 1999 to emulate a console-like experience for a mobile phone. Gameloft is not some stupid single twenty year old Douche-bag with no creativity trying to make money. Gameloft is a company of over 4,000 people taking the job of making "console" games for the mobile gaming market. They are only looking for what's NOT on the iDevice and giving to the iDevice.

Enough of the rant. I own six Gameloft games:
    BIA
    Hero of Sparta
    Assassin's Creed
    Gangstar
    Midnight Pool
    Ferrari GT

It's people like you that give others with jailbroken devices a bad name. Devs deserve money for what they've done.

They are a gaming company founded with the wrong philosophy then if they only seek to port. A good company seeks to bring something fresh and new to the table and inspire others. That's true of any company. How many companies that have just scrounged off others have really made it? Right now I don't see anybody trying to follow Gameloft's lead and port like crazy, they're still going about trying to make games like Spider or iBlast Moki.

Assasin's Creed, Blades of Fury, Chess Classics [lol], Dungeon Hunter [:D] and Hero of Sparta.

While i find it hilarious that GL is ripping off major titles and makin bank off it, i cant bitch too much cause..their games are so much fun..haha. its crazy. i cant wait till DH is fixed..im so curious as to whats left in the game o_O

personal preference really... none of the other titles appeal to me besides

    - hero of sparta (at least 5 hours worth of entertainment for 1 dollar)

    - dungeon hunter .. don't need to explain myself on that one

i agree with u on Dungeon Hunter.
have u looked into blades of fury? i found/still find it to be fairly entertaining. not as much content as DH, but still its kinda nice to have a good fighter app and when i first got it it kept me occupied for quite a few hours

never been a fan of fighters, it's all button mashing until i sit down and learn all of the moves and become awesome at reproducing the same combo time and time again, abit too time consuming and frustrating, prefer to learn combos of a more popular title so i can vs more people if i wanted to spend all my time doing that for it to amount to something worthwhile

ahhhh very true i know exactly what u mean. luckily the combos are limited [well, not luckily, thats actually bad..lol] so u can get the hang of them really quick. basically theres only 2 main attack buttons, depending on the direction u point the joystick in and which button u push, thats the combo u do. once u get the hang of it its fun cuz u can string combos together, but after u REALLY get used to it u realize that in reality the combos are limited and it kinda sucks :/ lol

They do not have almost any creativity. They DO make games that are not yet on the iDevices, but the games are mobile clones of computer/console games.

Who cares? they make good games don't they?

Are you seriously trying to suggest that Gameloft isn't successful?

I don't really care, I was just answering because that's the case. Besides, I don't like Gameloft's games.

Oh ok, it's just the way you phrased it.

But I still stand by what I said: who cares?

Well, it's technically not porting, since they aren't porting the original game.

Firmly disagreeable. A good company isn't only the one who does something completely new every time. A good company makes good games, regardless of originality. You can argue that Gameloft's games aren't good, but I think they are very justified by the prices the games are sold for.

And what's so good about making something new and "fresh" to inspire other companies to make games like that? Wouldn't the inspired companies be bad?

Harmonix Music Systems created Rock Band and people love that game. I played the new Beatles one and it owns. What about Volition, Inc.? They made Saints Row and the sequel. And people love Saints Row.

    *cough*EA*cough*

So, you're trying to tell me that every game dev is trying to make games like iBlast Moki and Spider? Yeah, sure... Not! What about the upcoming Vampire Origins? What about Hardgore, NFS shift? What about Chinatown Wars or that new upcoming ATV game from 2XL??

Every company here has its place, and I believe that Gameloft has its place conforming to a more supply and demand aspect of marketing. It's not a bad thing. In fact, it's just an area that needs to be filled in order for our iDevice to succeed at being a handheld gaming device. And, they could draw in competition from other companies like they probably did with Rockstar.
