Hey guys. This is for all the owners who own an ipod touch 5. Now I think my battery is defect. Idk why.. Say I play a 2D Game like Maximus.. My battery goes from 100% to 50% around an hour and a half.. Is that normal? How about you guys? How long can you play a game constant before your battery needs to charge? My usage most has been 3 Hours, 12 Minutes but on average its around 2 Hours, 45 Mintues playing a mixture of MMO games..

Tell us what iOS you use. Also, battery depletion mostly depends on the brightness of the screen.

Bluetooth, wi-fi, push notifications and apps open in the background also play a factor.

I need the wi-fi... Bluetooth is off and I always delete apps in the background when I'm done with them.. Also mail, icloud, Siri and Location Services is off..

iOS 6.1.3 has been known for draining the batter up to 2x faster (on all iDevices) than before. Apple forums (and others) were exploding with these posts about this issue. I doubt that it's the battery's fault, it's the iOS.

My battery is 4 years old and I can still play simple off-line games for 3-3.5 hours straight on 25% brightness before the battery dies. And I actually charge the phone 2-3 times per day, for 4 years.

Anyway, let us know how it's after the update.

Same.. When I had my iPhone 4, I could play simple games offline up to 4 hours before it dies... When I upgraded it to iOS 6.. Battery was going down fast. But I will keep you informed... I might have to call Apple if the problem still persists :/
