How is the weather affecting you? (For those in UK)

Discussion in 'Off-Topic Lounge' started by LostLegend, Dec 20, 2010.

  1. As we all know, the UK has been hit by some very heavy snow - but how is it affecting you? We are struggling to get out of the house to find any places that do deliveries (Sainsbury's, Tesco's, etc don't do any until after Christmas!)

We are having to rely on a small village shop and what we have left of the internet - how is the weather affecting you? (Other countries are free to comment though)

  3. No, that's for "what's it like where you are" not "how is it affecting you in uk"

The snow means i ruined my £100 leather shoes and I couldn't go to work, but instead stay at home having fun making snowmen.

    So not all bad :)

We got hit hard in Lincoln by the snow a few weeks ago, but have missed it so far this time. Although the frost was so heavy last night, it looked like it had snowed.

  9. I couldn't get the train to work today, mixture of canceled trains and my only footwear being converse. I need some snow boots! At least I can work from home :)

Ah... I'm in London, so all of our roads are cleaned up - for the most part. It's alright to travel around, and awesome to have snowball fights in. :D

All the main roads get cleared pretty quickly, it's the B roads that lack the care and attention of the gritter lorries. Unfortunately the one right outside my house is annoyingly steep and if you're on it... you're only going down it.

I'm not too fussed though, I just hope air travel is back to normal when my girlfriend is due to land :(

    Australia, mate!
 Hardly any of my players played this GW on EPL Fantasy because of the cancellations of games. My global ranking has dropped from 33 to 52.
