How do you market your game?

    I made this game:

    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/smash-to-bits/id481594505?mt=8

The feedback has been great so far, with a couple of 1-star reviews because of a crashing issue with the iPod (which has been fixed in a coming update this week.)

It's also gotten a lot of 5-star international reviews. ("Das Spiel ist awesome").

However, I look at the totality of my admittedly meager marketing efforts and all I've done so far is: post 2 threads about the game here and in macrumors. I emailed one reviewer who said that she'll review me around the 16th. That's it.

Anyway, does anyone have any marketing tips to share? I would really, really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

ask from www.shineapp.com to review your app... it's a new free site but you have nothing to lose... good luck to your app!!

^Another one of those 'create an account to promote something' users.

Anyway, hold contests in social networks, such as retweeting, liking, sharing. You can also post promo codes or contests(such for gift cards etc.) in the promo codes and contests section, over here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/forumdisplay.php?f=22

Reviews, if they're positive, are always good advertising. Contact Toucharcade, App Spy, Pocketgamer, SlideToPlay, App-Score, Touchgen, Ign or any other review site, and looking at the screenshots the game seems to be nice, so I doubt you'll get bashed with negative reviews.

hope this helps at all :)

Thanks... I will look into those contest things...

As for IGN, do you think they'll review indie games like mine?

If it's good and could be something big then sure I guess. If it's a bad game with bad graphics and gameplay then I doubt, but it looks like a great game.
