You don't actually need to buy a mac. I have set my computer to multi boot into either W7, OSX Leopard, and Ubuntu. I have the iphone SDK on my gateway and though I have no idea how to use it, I still can.
Olympus, you do realize that this is a guy that asked on TA how he can he make an app for iPhone? With no disrespect to him, that is like me saying "how do I win an Oscar". OK first off, I have worked in this industry for a very long time. I know pretty much everyone. FANTASTIC. I stand here an ordinary man saying "I am not talented" Today's grandmasters are: Rob M- Firemint Hy- Iugo Dave C- Bolt Creative BUT I am a talentless fool. I sit in awe everyday at these modern day Picasso's that create, create and create. I am humbled by their genius. I am merely a business man, I would give up everything -especially that mother ****ing dog that keeps shitting on my carpet- to be able to code. I just do not have that amount of time, but more importantly, I do not have the skill. My advice stands -hire someone to code for you.
