Heya, seriously thinking of removing it from my game Spirit in the next update. It's had Game Center support too for a while, and I'll leave that in obviously. Trying to discover if anyone of you would be annoyed by this. Thanks!
I dont care about it either ! Not bothered by GameCentre either but can imagine people wont be happy if that went. Looking forward to the update though
Is it being replaced by Game Center? Then I couldn't care less. If not, then I might be a little concerned about losing leaderboards/etc. But, to tell you the truth, I hardly log into OpenFeint anymore - not "because it sucks" but because I'm on a minimal data plan on my phone and don't care to waste the bandwidth unless I really am interested in online elements of the game I'm playing.
I'm biased, not a fan of open feint. I wouldn't mind if every game I own that uses it dropped it. I'm not a huge fan of game center either. It is kinda cool to have leader boards in arcade style games though. Games that have both, GC and OF, kind of bother me. GC is the better of the two.
The only game as far as I am aware, that used open feint for anything more than a pointless statement is galaxy on fire 2. It gives an extra option for an online back up which admittedly is a nice thing to have so I would be hypocritical to say I don't use it. As I said before though and as most say here even if it left IOS I wouldn't notice. That game uses cloud support now, better than most games do in fact!
