This may be a stupid question, and I may be missing something very obvious, but I can't work it out.

I have a Touch 2g on OS 3.0, so have 11 pages of apps. I can also have more and access them by searching for them, but how can I get to the ones I can't see on the home page to move them or delete them?

Surely there must be a way to do this?

    I wish.

Actually, I'd be happy with an "Apps" app that listed them alphabetically by name/author/last played/most played/whatever.

For those games out on page 11 (or 12 ;)) I've found it much to bring up find and type the first letter or two...

Thanks, but searching for them only lets you launch them, not move them onto a visible page or delete them.

There must be a way to delete an unseen app or move it onto one of the 11 pages.

11 page app limit is just that.. How the hell can you fill up 11 pages.. 180 apps dude. How often do you actually use them. Massive resource hog too.
In terms of deleting.. Well go through the 180 apps you can see. Most of these will be crap, delete them. Then the next appslides along. Alternatively go through your apps in iTunes and wipe all the dodgy ones and then sync.
Moral of the story is, don't get attached to shit you buy. If it sucks delete it/throw it out. Applies to everything. If you latch on with a false sense of sentimental value, you end up with mess.

Well, unchecking them on iTunes must be the only way to do that.
Still, I wish there was some way you could move them.

Thanks for your views, much appreciated. However, I didn't ask for an opinion on the number of apps I have, and it's obvious that deleting loads gets the unseen ones to slide along, but that's not the point.

On a device as advanced as the i devices, there should be a better way to do this.

I have 20 pages of apps on a non JB 3.0 iPod. Just keep moving the voice memo off the last page.

Sorry came out harsher than intended. I think through iTunes is the best way for deleting, but the extra page glitch might be alrite. Be wary though, it's set at 11 pages for a reason, and glitching up the system will not be good for it. If you have a 3GS I wouldn't worry so much, but assuming you don't, the memory use will be abnormally high. There's not much to go around. I'd seriously suggest getting rid of ones you don't use, or you could Jailbreak and get either 5 icon row and/or folders. There are many other advantages also. Goodluck, hope I didn't offend you

I have the Free Memory program.. with 20 pages it shows I have 39 MB of memory free. Just have to remember to reboot it when you finish adding apps.

I have a jailbroken device with a hectic theme, 5 icon dock and columns, a GUI clock, a ticking/working clock icon, about 50 blank icons and two big folders. I have 49mb free.

What do you mean by moving the voice memo off the last page? I take it to the last page but I can't move it 'off' the last page.

Move the voice memo to the last position in the last row on the last page. Then from the previous page move an app to the last page. That will cause the voice memo app to move off the last page. Make sure your first 2 pages are filled with apps first.

    I see.

That's created a 12th page, but the unseen apps haven't appeared on it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

You have to reboot again for the unseen apps to show up on the new page.

Is there anyway to do this without it making the new page right after the first page? I just spent 20 minutes moving all my apps left. I figured it happened the first time because my first two pages weren't filled. So I made sure they were filled the second time, and it still made a new page right after the first.

It always adds the voice app onto the new second page. No way to change it.
