I searched "castle crashers iphone" came across zombieworld apocolypse... got hyped for it then realized it was abandoned. found the site in july lurked until november then joined because I saw graal discussion
im to old to remember now.. if i had to guess would of been google random search. or maybe even reading about the forum in feed back on a app i was interested in. chris.
Looking for some info about an app from google, and this site came up. Lurked for a bit then hung around since this was a site about iDevice gaming.
Not sure. That's just what my Pokedex told me it was. I would imagine it came from this situation though:
I found it in a video games news app. I used to follow GoNintendo a lot a few years ago and there was an article that there was a video game news app with gonintendo news. The app also had news from other sites including toucharcade.
I needed help getting through 1112 Ep 01. I searched Google and was taken to this site. That was way back in November of 2008, seems like an eternity ago
Oh the days before this website were shitty days indeed. Downloading crap games on Installer. Like the rhythm game tap hero or something, then trying to mod it to look like guitar hero hahah. Then the first true game I ever played was Polarbits, Raging Thunder. Which I played the crap out of.
Looking at my purchase history right now. Downloaded Cube Runner, Trace, Space Deadbeef, Tap Tap Revenge, TapDefense, Topple, Done Drinking, Mazefinger, PapiJump, and JellyCar the first time I went through the AppStore. This was on 01/14/09. These were pretty much just the ones that interested me in the top 25 free games, lol. A week later, on 01/21, I got my first $25 giftcard and got Rebel Onslaught, Guitar Rock Tour, Hero of Sparta, Asphalt 4, and Cro-Mag Rally. Lmao I got three Gameloft games the first time I bought paid games xP. But yeah, since then I've spent about $1750 since then on the AppStore. Only spent $117.38 the first six months, which went until 07/21/09; I started lurking TA late February. Jumped to $268.35 the second second six months. Then the next months, it went down to only $218.79. However, from 07/21/10 to 01/21/11, it jumped to $513.97. Dropped to $409.41 the next months, ending on 07/21/11. Just calculated my past three months up until 10/21/11 (so not including this past week), and it shows $199.33, and this is including Lion, which cost $32.50, so I think I'm doing great in reducing my AppStore spending. However, I've spent $75 on Steam and $55 on my 3DS (1 new game + a few eStore games) in the past month and a half, lol. In any case, that's $52.34 per month on the AppStore since 01/21/09. It's an addiction, but really, that's less than one new console game per month, so it's all good. But yes, I blame TA for my spending! Haha, not that it's a bad thing. My highest month in spending was September 2010, which totaled $146.62, followed by $134.86 in December 2010. Had my lowest month just this September, well lowest after the first six months that is! Only spent $26.22. Yeah, been really trying hard to reduce my spending and not just buying every single game that catches my eye :]. $78.64 in October so far though, whoops..but it's iOS release month so it's understandable, haha.
it was february/march 2009, I was looking for suggestions on what to buy from the app store. I found toucharcade and it led me to start buying plenty of apps over the last two and a half years. Just realised it was march as that was when I joined.
Business: not sure what kind yet, the accounting here is number one in the nation, but I'm leaning towards management or finance, which are both only number six in the nation. Meh, we'll see as some more time passes.
I was looking for promo codes and found it. Stayed promo codes only section for a couple months. Then, i found the rest of toucharcade
yes, i can honestly blame this forum for spending more money than i ever would have on apps.. because, when you can read others feed back on a game.. and they can relate it to something you may have played makes it too damn easy to justify buying the game you are interested in ... so you spend money.. ( well thats my piss poor excuse ) and them damn .99 games add up fast.. haha. i can say with the holidays, i have downloaded just as many cool free games as i have bought. now the biggest problem iv ever had with my ipod is not the lack of games.. its having way to many games iv not got around to playing yet.. so, every day i add a few more to my app folder with the thought looks fun, ill get around to it. haha. iv finally decided i m gonna go ahead and buy a ipad i think for a christmas gift to my self since i got a free ipod the other day, well I paid 1.00 for it in a auction thing at local car club benefit thing.. but whatever, I figure ll just use the money i was gonna use for a ipod touch 5... ( white was not enough of a change to make me buy it the latest touch.. sorry apple, if you want to call it the number one mobile gamer device.. step up) on a ipad . so i have purchased a couple of ipad only games this month cause of said Halloween sales. but one thing i did do from day one of the ipad announcement to the appstore is downloaded any "Free ipad game" i thought looked cool with the idea even if i do not get a ipad.. the hard drive space is cheap and if i did get one well i saved a few bucks.. so i have like 600 ipad games and no ipad, hah. i can say with how apple as implemented its icloud service.. i think it makes the ipad more desirable to me now. the appstore where you can be a hoarder and no one will complain. chris.
Like 2 years ago I was really into pocket god, and would read their blog. One of the links led me to TA, and I lurked for a long time until I joined to ask a question about which game I should get... Still a lurker, as I read most things but barely comment, but TA is definately responsible for my addiction to iOS game.
A new online market from Apple had just opened--they were calling it the "App Store"--and I was trying to find out more information about it. Touch Arcade magically appeared in my search results, and led me to download graphically-stunning games like Tris, Aurora Feint, and CubeRunner...Ah, memories...
