I believe there is a ballot recount going on. There has been murmurings of voting irregularities (some one keeps voting for himself!). There are no chads present and all 110% of the casting ballot votes have been deemed valid. Its a close race with the lead separating the top contenders by a very narrow margin (something like 1/2 of a point). Its to close to call but lawyers have been lined up on all sides for contingency purposes.

    Here you go...

    Okay…

    I've made my decision…

and it wasn't easy let me tell you…

The Hover-World-iBoard-entry section of the contest results are in!

All entries were amazing… but there can only be 3 best!

    And so...

The third best/creative entry for 3 eligibility points goes to…

Pajo! For his hysterical "George" Entry! Congratulations Pajo! Very funny! :D

Second best/creative entry for 4 eligibility points goes to…

Staulcub! For his fantastically modelled 3D rendering of me on a awesomely modelled Hover World iBoard!
Congratulations Staulcub! Very impressive! Very impressive indeed!

And the best, most creative entry for 5 eligibility points and the US$25 US app store gift certificate goes to…

Cloudcastles for his brilliant sci-fi-garbot1-rescue-adventure short story! I was completely drawn into the story!:D
I keep waiting for this locked door to be opened and for me to be rescued!!!! But alas... it's just a story…

    Anyway!

Congratulations to the winners and also to everyone who entered!!!!

    and…

I know you are all excited to see the updated overall ranking (especially staulcub ;)), so here it is…

Well congrats cloudcastles! I agree and think maybe you should set aside some time to right a short story. You know something like "Garbot and the Seven droids".

Very fine work indeed staulcub. I now know who to go to for 3d modeling for any games I eventually write (lots of thought no action, altho I am self teaching myself java for work purposes at the moment, along with trying to brush up on my c++. A coworker has a android phone and so we are also looking into some android development things. Maybe at some point I can relate this all back to iphone/ipad developement).

Well I'm up to late studing as is so, tomorrow is a good time to start puzzle solving again.

    Auto-message from garbot1:

Unbelievable! You deciphered my 49th encrypted data packet!

Thank you - you deserve a reward!

To claim your prize, you need to be the first person to post the following to the official Hover World Alternate Reality Game thread at TouchArcade.com:

    1. Password: FUNPASTIME_MEM_RECOVER_49

    2. Precise details of how you found this page (be sure to mention this URL "contest.ezone.com/DIVERSIONISCOMING")!

    3. At this point you have a choice:

You can claim which Ezone.com app you would like as a prize, and earn SOME eligibilty points - which go towards your chance of winning the grand prize (A really cool hovering Parrot A.R.Drone).

    or

You can forfeit the Ezone.com app prize, and earn EVEN MORE eligibility points towards your chance of winning the grand prize.

    or

You can be really nice and selfless, and forfeit the Ezone.com app prize AND nominate another Hover World Alternate Reality Game thread member to have their eligibility points increased SOME (this in turn will earn you EVEN MORE MORE eligibility points!) Good karma and all that! :) PLEASE NOTE: Once YOU nominate someone - YOU can't nominate them again for the duration of the contest... Unless you've nominated everyone once already! :)

    Rank update!

Okay... just for fun, I processed all of the data and posts on this thread to see where everyone stands (rank-wise) in the running for the Grand Prize...

So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest, who has stepped in at the last second to solve the puzzle, who has taken the wildest guesses, who has come up with the most amazing deciphering ideas, who has blown the most gaskets, who has lost the most sleep, who has shown the most devotion to deciphering, who was the fastest at solving the puzzles, who has solved the most puzzles in a row, who has spoon-fed the answer to other players, who has been spoon-fed the answer by other players, who has raced in at the last second and used the answer that someone had just provided without realising that they had just provided it, who has waited for everyone to go to sleep in order to solve the puzzles…etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. Drone (a cool hover toy!!!)

    1. staulcub
    2. pajo_ojap
    3. cloudcastles
    4. cjsbug
    5. jwcasser
    6. hiurdin
    7. Daldaris
    8. da shiz wiz 19
    9. warcrack
    10.KoOne23

Note: This list may change depending on how the rest of the contest continues... As you can see (if you look through this thread)... we've had quite a shuffle of names as we've progressed through this contest! So you never know! You've got to be in it for a chance at the Grand Prize! So get in there!

If your name hasn't made the list - you need to try harder (you may just be in position 11)!

Extra note: You don't need to actually solve the puzzles in order to be eligible... you may earn eligibility by just being helpful in the thread!

    Good luck everyone!

Be on the look out for more puzzles!!

For those that are interested and are wondering how I figuredwhat the clues were... Spoiler alert

I first off thought it was a 'dice' so minus 'e' got you 'dic'. But determined that was wrong and then came up with 'die' minus 'e' gets you 'di'

Next was sounds like 'purr' and I was guesing 'ver' but hadn't put the word together yet.

Then came 'shin' and putting that all together gets you 'diversion'.

Picture of 'island' minus a plane landing leaves you with 'is'.

Then it showed ezone being busted up and the dot in .com rolling away and you come up with 'com' plus 'king' minus 'k' put all together leaves 'coming'

and that was it. Hope that made a little sense.

Thanks guys. I had actually just got into bed, when my phone lit up so I checked it out to see what message had come in and it was from here, so I opened safari and lo and behold a puzzle. The puzzle just kinda fell together for me (it seemed pretty straight forward.) so luck had a lot to do with catching it before I fell asleep.

Here's to more luck!! (p.s. yes my main internet connection was finally restored by morning, so thats what I'm using, but now its off to work)
