Rank update! Okay... just for fun, I processed all of the data and posts on this thread to see where everyone stands (rank-wise) in the running for the Grand Prize... So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest, who has stepped in at the last second to solve the puzzle, who has taken the wildest guesses, who has come up with the most amazing deciphering ideas, who has blown the most gaskets, who has lost the most sleep, who has shown the most devotion to deciphering, who was the fastest at solving the puzzles, who has solved the most puzzles in a row, who has spoon-fed the answer to other players, who has been spoon-fed the answer by other players, who has raced in at the last second and used the answer that someone had just provided without realising that they had just provided it etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. I just caught the puzzle as I was going of to bed. I was up a little later than usual. I think I finally got in front of staulcub and cjsbug but I won't count my chickens until garbot says so.
I nominate... well it looks like I meant to give cjsbug a nod a while back, but not sure if it was counted. So if it hasn't been counted than cjsbug. I know I owe staulcub also, so he would be next on the list. the third in line would be cloudcastles for coming back to us from china.
The solution came to me as follows: the scared face was the clue to sounds like: the puzzle looked like it was in three parts: the rings, the vampire bat the hunchback, garbage can, blood, and frightened guy. rings sound like things bat sounds like that hunchback = bump, garbage can = in, blood = ???, fright = night which is a common enough hint that I got THINGSTHATGOBUMPINTHENIGHT haven't figured out the blood splotch clue to be the, other than if you're a vampire and say blood it comes out sounding sort of like 'THE' also not sure were the 'GO' fits in the puzzle yet. aah maybe I read the frightened guy and ghost as one image wrong. so the ghost would be the 'GO' part of it. and with that its off to bed.
Wow, I guess I shouldn't fall asleep on the couch Congrats pajo_ojap! That's some quick puzzle solving. btw, I think the "GO" comes from "GLOW" which the ghost is doing... g'nite!

Good catch, I new the glow around the ghost probably meant something but I couldn't come up with 'GLOW'. I kept thinking electic or electrified... Coming up with how 'GO' fit in was secondary to solving the puzzle anyway. Almost immediately I was thinking along the lines of the anwer but then proceeded to lead myself astray a little bit. Then a took a step back tried not to complicate it and noticed the three rings were grouped. I got 'THINGS' and then 'THAT' and 'NIGHT and it was all over at that point. I just filled in the reasoning behind the other clues that seemed to fit. Of course it was a themed puzzle that really help narrow down the possibilities. Again I was lucky, I would normally have been asleep also, but was roaming around a bit later than normal and decided to check the thread one last time. Glad I did
#2!!!! aaaah wait a minute I'm not sure that I want to be associated with #2. I'm happily suprised of course. Its been fun so far. We will see how long I last as #2. I think staulcub doesn't need to worry too much for a bit. but otherwise I think that the 2,3 and 4 positions are fairly close. But like garbot says you don't need to get the answer to be in the race. So come on everyone keep up the input.
