Is the "NOT WORKING" theme applicable?

I just got home after traveling in China. Internet was so slow there (not sure if it was the hotels' fault), and I couldn't access facebook, twitter, & youtube (and only at the end of my trip did I realize I should have tried using a vpn).

So ... what have I missed?

So maybe +ML<up> is "ADD THEM ALL UP"

I like this one. Now, what are we adding up? The words or the pictures?

    OK here goes...

    Auto-message from garbot1:

Unbelievable! You deciphered my 33rd encrypted data packet!

Thank you - you deserve a reward!

To claim your prize, you need to be the first person to post the following to the official Hover World Alternate Reality Game thread at TouchArcade.com:

    1. Password: REALLYNOTWORKING_MEM_RECOVER_33

    2. Precise details of how you found this page (be sure to mention this URL "iphone.ezone.com/DEFECTIVEOUTOFORDERINOPERATIVE")!

    3. At this point you have a choice:

You can claim which Ezone.com app you would like as a prize, and earn SOME eligibilty points - which go towards your chance of winning the grand prize (A really cool hovering Parrot A.R.Drone).

    or

You can forfeit the Ezone.com app prize, and earn EVEN MORE eligibility points towards your chance of winning the grand prize.

    or

You can be really nice and selfless, and forfeit the Ezone.com app prize AND nominate another Hover World Alternate Reality Game thread member to have their eligibility points increased SOME (this in turn will earn you EVEN MORE MORE eligibility points!) Good karma and all that! :) PLEASE NOTE: Once YOU nominate someone - YOU can't nominate them again for the duration of the contest... Unless you've nominated everyone once already! :)

    I notinate da shiz wiz!

Well, what are you waiting for? Hurry up, someone else may be posting the winning entry right now!!

Congrats cjsbug! I just logged in finally and you just solved it minutes ago. I understand the "DEFECTIVEOUTOFORDER" and then how you put together 'IN' + 'OPERA' + 'ACTIVE' to get 'INOPERATIVE' (I was thinking about the jogger being active and the air conditioner and was coming up with CONDITIONED!!). But I still don't see how the +ML<up arrow> works

the +ML<up arrow> translates to "add them all up"

so instead of separating each word with "/" I joined them all together.

aah fooey. I liked my ideas that it stood for MALFUNCTION better. I was actually thinking of 'EM ALL UP' previously but as in concatenation not addition. I think that actually threw more of a monkey wrench into things and made the puzzle harder otherwise I think it would have been solved earlier.

Thanks! Glad we're past that one.

When I first read this I thought garbot1 was saying I was going down the wrong road.

    Now I see the ""

Glad I still had that window open with DEFECTIVE/OUTOFORDER/INOPERATIVE from an earlier attempt.

When I realized it said "add 'em all up" I just took out the // :)

its a bit of a stretch I think but 'ORDER' sounds like 'WATER' especially when you run it all together 'OUTOFWATER' 'OUTOFORDER'. (specially if you have a new yark accent):D

Also for those who didn't get garbots meaning above.

the third picture had three parts: 'IN' + 'OPERA' and the third part was the jogger which garbot1 hinted at being active. cjsbug but it together as 'INOPERATIVE' but like garbot said what happened to the 'AC'. Well if you look at the last picture it shows a airconditioner falling on to the jogger. Well 'AC' is short for airconditioner and since it is falling or fell out of the window the thought was to subtract it from 'ACTIVE' giving you 'TIVE'.

very tough stuff going on here.

A very clever part of the puzzle that I didn't even notice.
I just though in-opera-active sounded like inoperative, lol. Thanks for pointing that out. :)
