If anyone else nominated me on previous puzzles, please let me know so I can repay past debts. Otherwise, in the future I will nominate whover contributed the most to the correct answer.

Hope you know I'm giving you a bad time. I try with my cell phone also, but its difficult at best. SO I agree with Daldaris about the respect. I also have a program called Teamviewer along with the iphone client, that is free for home usage. Its fairly good in allowing you to remote into your home computer. Just need a good connection and today for some reason I'm not getting 3G...sucks to be me.

    Rank update!

Okay... just for fun, I processed all of the data and posts on this thread to see where everyone stands (rank-wise) in the running for the Grand Prize...

So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest, who has stepped in at the last second to solve the puzzle, who has taken the wildest guesses, who has come up with the most amazing deciphering ideas, who has blown the most gaskets, who has lost the most sleep, who has shown the most devotion to deciphering, who was the fastest at solving the puzzles, who has solved the most puzzles in a row…etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. Drone (a cool hover toy!!!)

    1. hiurdin & staulcub
    2. pajo_ojap

    4. jwcasser
    5. cjsbug
    6. da shiz wiz 19
    7. Daldaris
    8. KoOne23
    9. warcrack
    10. speed4mee

Note: This list may change depending on how the rest of the contest continues... As you can see (if you look through this thread)... we've had quite a shuffle of names as we've progressed through this contest! So you never know! You've got to be in it for a chance at the Grand Prize! So get in there!

If your name hasn't made the list - you need to try harder (you may just be in position 11)!

Extra note: You don't need to actually solve the puzzles in order to be eligible... you may earn eligibility by just being helpful in the thread!

    Good luck everyone!

Be on the look out for more puzzles!! :D

again work is going to interfere in solving this one...but interspersed between the puzzle pieces are letters that when decoded spellout 'ALLCAPS'. So what ever the answer is its in all caps.

Finally I have been able to spend time here and this puzzle is fun!!! Though I should be sleeping, then focusing on studying and homework. Hahaha, homework could be abbreviated and interpreted as H.W. :) Well I spent some good time on this and have some clues.

There is the translation of the ALLCAPS using the alphabet decoder. Then my decoding of the audio morse code resulted with this "the soluteeon is a puzzle"

So I put the red pictures together to get a red herring and attempted to put the black pieces together but no luck. I need a better program so I can rotate the pieces and not have to re-trace each time i want to move the piece.

here are some pics that I have compiled so far.

I had read hiurdins message and played around a bit with pictures I had captured previous to his message and then left it alone for awhile. I was sitting discussing some work issues with coworkers and it just hit me what the answer was. SO I ran back quick and no one had answered yet so here it is a nother literal solution.

    THE SOLUTION IS "A PUZZLE"

I nominate Hiurdin for his morse code decoding which set me on the track to the solution. Not that there was any other input to go by anyway.

I didn't think I would be working on it all that much either. I did all of my picture grabbing before I started work. I tried to match the hoverboard siluette to some image but nothing was close. My thought was that the first layer in red was probably bogus ( I noticed what looked like a fish head, but didn't quite make the red herring connection). At this point I didn't really have the tools or time I needed to figure out what the pictures in black represented. So I mostly wrote it off till after work. I was checking the thread tho to see if anyone else was working on it and then finally seen hiurdins post. And he also sounded like like it would take some work to figure out the picture. I actually forgot about listening to the background sound and so didn't realize until huirdin said that he decoded the morse code to get "THE SOLUTEEN IS A PUZZLE" wasn't sure it that was a type or part of the puzzle, but I read it as "THE SOLUTION IS A PUZZLE". I started thinking that there was another layer hidden in the black pieces picture and about red herring. I then got into a discussion with my coworkers about some issues I had seen earlier that morning...and bang it just came to me, that the solution was literally "APUZZLE" that the picture was just a misdirection. Well I hurried my A** on out of the conversation to see if someone else had answered yet. And that was a NO. SO I hurried up and submitted the solution.

Sorry to bend everyones ear on that long story, but is interesting how sometimes the answer just pops out at ya.

I hope you have a good two week trip. Hopefully you can stick your head in the thread and atleast say hi, once in a while. If we get another of those tough ones it could be two weeks between puzzles anyway.

Great job on figuring it out!!! Many thanks for your nomination too! Taking it literally like that hadn't crossed my mind. I had thought that the puzzle was a red herring when it materialized into a red fish and that the answer would be something simple but had no luck. Then I thought that possibly the black pieces in behind the red would make a separate puzzle.

That was definitely a fun puzzle and got my mind off of school :p

how do you decode the morse code? do you have any special software you use? I tried doing it by ear, atleast the previous puzzle and wasn't doing real good at it.

A combination of trial and error and software. I went through listening writing out the da dit dit da's etc... but it is extremely fast and hard to be accurate. So after trying different ways I came across mrp40 and cwget and was able to get it to hear and translate the audio signal. Here is some of the orignal output from the program. It was cool to finally get it working :)

eetttttttttttte{...-.}tttoluteeonisapuzzreeeeeettttbeeattesesoluteeonisapuzzree tttneetiution isa puzzre e the solutee on isa puzzreee tttthesoluteeonisapuzzree the soluteeon is a puzzle

I had to tweak it and tune it a bit for it to come out clearer.
