    The order of ogt1rab in relation of garbot1 is 5, 1, 6, 7, 3, 2, 4.

The light flashes 2x when the o shows up. 4x when the g shows up. 6x when the t shows up, continues flashing until the 1 shows up completely. 8x when the r shows up, lasts until the end of b.

Then there are four questions marks in addition to the the number 4 at the beginning. I too think it is the number of digits/letter.

If you arrange LOW LIGHT in the order that I determined with garbot's name, you get ILGHWOL. There are eight letters in LOW LIGHT and only seven in garbot1, though. If you count the space, then you get LLIGWO_. Doesn't seem close since you have a space at the end of it.

Maybe the answer is made up of letters that when combined with things in the video sound like words, such as:

    4: A (foray), C (foresee), T (forty)
    low: B (below)
    light: D (delight) NN (enlighten)

Thought I'd better weight in as I'm going to be gone all day tomorrow (okay technically today and I should be in bed). I doubt I'll have a chance to do much but will be checking to see what happens.

    Here's how I read things:

The first '4' and green at that just means that it is the 4th part of the answer, same o' same o'. I believe it also means there is only one part, no part 5 6 7 or what ever.

I was thinking that LOW LIGHT only means that the answer is in lowercase. both terms can be read that way 'LOW' - short for lower, 'LIGHT' - as in less filling (not tastes great) and also that fact that it is on the bottom of the screen.

I was thinking the 4 question marks mean 4 different words concatenated together.

I was thinking the flashing red light is also significant in that it is telling which lines to look at for the first word in the sentences that will be described following the next supposition.

I was thinking the order of appearance of the letters of garbot1 name is significant and produces ogt1rab (5167324 which I'm not sure is significant). each letter is used with the corresponding sentence to figure out which word to use.

So from garbot1's only message so far we get

This dark room is really getting me down...

1 Why was I sealed in here?

2 Is this a garbage room...? word with 'o' in it room

3 Was I thrown in here to rot...?

4 A robot is designed with a purpose... word with 'g' in it designed

    5 What is my purpose?

6 My name suggests that I am a garbage robot? word with 't' in it suggests

7 Maybe that should be robot garbage.

8 I'm feeling really undervalued... word with '1' in it

I've got to get out of this room.

I skipped the first and last line as they are more leadin and conclusion. This leaves 8 lines.

the partial answer I come up with is "roomdesignedsuggests" and I'm missing the 4th piece. Cant quite figure out how to tie '1' in with sentence 8, but it may have something to do with 'undervalued.

Hows that for conspiracy theorys!?! Hope it doesn't lead anyone off the deep end. Good luck. If it hasn't been solved by Sunday I'm may get another crack at it.

I wish garbot1 would give more hints, haha.

I have no special ideas to add about the video. I wonder how important the stuff he said about garbage is. Maybe he's a special robot that recycles garbage into useful stuff! ... not that this useless thought helps any in the puzzle.

and maybe lines 2 4 6 8 are the important lines

also r is the first letter to show up when the light blinks eight times. Might be the word "really" for the last word

Of course LOW LIGHT written in all caps may also mean the answer is in uppercase. ;):)

Sure. (for you non baseball neophytes, it says the Yanks swept the Twins)

Hope you enjoyed the game, altho I think that was probably a given. Good luck. There is still a bit of baseball to be played yet to get to the +1 round tho.

This dark room is getting really depressing... :(

These puzzles are getting really tough... :(

My self esteem is taking a beating... :(

I was damaged, and my memory was erased, and I was left here to rot! :(

I'm starting to lose hope... :(

I realise that I am just a lowly garbage robot of no value and no worth...

... but having just looked back through this thread I now have a hunch that the solution to this puzzle has already been found...

So... look again... sometimes the most obvious answer is the solution!

I just looked back at all the posts ... Can't figure out what is the most "obvious" answer. Tried DARKROOM among others, and of course nothing worked.

Everything garbot1 says sounds like he's depressed, feeling LOW.

so is he saying we have the answer? or that we are close enough that we should have figured out what the answer is by what we have done already?

If it was so obvious, I'd be asleep already.

I've tried various ideas and the following is a sampling of some of my thoughts since I've forgotten over half of what I've tried:

    first 4 letters = got1

low light = lite, dawn, dusk

    OGT1 rearranged =1LGT

    LOWLIGHT @2468= O L G T

combination of 2468 with associated letter positions
    o2g46tr8 O2G46TR8 o2g46t1r8ab O2G46T1R8AB 2o4g6t8r 2O4G6T8R
    2o4g6t18rab 2O4G6T18RAB

    words that end with light:
bulb, beam, dull, spot, high, back, drop, fire, exit, head, lamp,
lime, over, tail, dead, stop, zero, dark, lite, lght, fail, look

There was also a :( in his previous post. I used that in my encrypted message to pajo.
