Okay so maybe it is one simple word, but we just have add A/AN/THE (article) to this magic word. Tried a few one, no success, but it can be the missing part that can lead us to the solution.
I'm just going by my "gut" here (not that robots have guts as such but hey!)... ... But... ... looking back through your deciphering so far... ... Still alive, but I think i'm getting more confused about what direction we should be heading in. I'm almost afraid to say anything because if may cause even more confusion. oh well, here goes garbot1 mentions "...access my optical video link program..." is access the fifth word? This kinda seems to go against simplify. he also mentions "remember...", any significance? probably not just the lead in to the next line. so I get the feeling that with "Logic plus teamwork plus simplification" which has 3 main words and then the "put these three things together" specifies the number three and then the next post has "gut" in parens which has three characters....hmm, does that mean 3 is significant? as in a three word answer? I think the next statement "first and foremost" may be a clue that we are missing a word and it will be the first/foremost one in the answer. but at this point it I'm so dizzy I don't know which way to go.
oh ya, forgot to mention that "help me help you help me" has "help" three times also. thats a lot of mentioning of things of three, don't ya think?
Well if you can connect it to the riddle post, then it's can be important. But in my opinion the data packet has to have everything to solve this puzzle.
I looked at the riddle again. My top answer for the word that fits the most lines is DUST, but if that is part of the password, what other words could it be paired with ... hmm .... Would it be possible that the same word could be repeated 3 times? (If that's the case, it's certainly not DUST).
Is garbot1 hinting that my word "DUST" plus two other words is the answer (since I'm the last one to use )?!?
If these are smilies and frownies that others have used in their posts, I'm coming up with SUNLIGHT, OXYGEN, IO0, and NOTHING for but only MIRROR for there must be another but unless all of gorbot's are counted, there's only one clue and that's MIRROR. Of course, MIRROR might be used twice such as 'MIRRORMIRROR' like snow white and one of the words goes in front of it Wow that sounds really confusing reading it back
Boy and I thought I was reaching on some of my ideas. I haven't had any better luck either. I'm just not happy with any of the words fitting the clues. There just isn't enough logic behind some of my reasonings. Like if a word fits the first three sets, then it doesn't really fit the last two. You mention MIRROR and cloudcastles likes DUST. I just am not happy with either of those. I am trying to focus on the 'On the surface I'm a fine varnish' set. I just keep coming up with OIL as my favorite (its simple atleast). The thing is I think this is the clue that garbot1 says we haven't got yet. So its back to the drawing board.
Now... I realize that I might just be a lowly garbage robot (at least that's what my name suggests)... but there seems to be something about this post of pajo_ojap that triggers a decipher-diode in my mechanical mind... ... I can't quite pinpoint it but... ... hmm... ... I don't know... ... ... maybe I'm just getting confused by my still-dodgy internal circuitry?

somehow I can't pinpoint it either. I've slogged thru a few combinations but nothing yet. I'm almost thinking OIL is to easy. But we are interpreting that garbot1 says we are missing one keyword, that I thought hadn't been mentioned before. SO does that mean that only two of the three are in this list?
Great that means theres one word that NO ONE has thought of yet, which also correlates with varnish and garnish, again assuming the lines are in order
