Thanks Hiurdin for putting this one to rest. I sort of agree with jwcasser, it ended up to be more a brute force puzzle. I guess its okay, after I've had a bit of time to think about it. I think I started out trying to keep it simple, but when nothing seemed to fit escalated the deviousness level up a few notches. What got me is trying to decide if it was one word or 4 separate letters. The green coloring led me to believe it was a single word, previously used to denote the 4th path. The 4 letters could be interpreted either way. I think the puzzle would have been a little better if only the first letter would have been green or like a green cursor effect, while the other letters would have been black and white. The final hints from garbot1 coming in the middle of the night for some of us that were sleeping (2-3am in the morning) might have been the keys to help figure this out. But then again probably not. I think those that stuck with it should be congratulated on how complex they could imagine the puzzles to be, jwcasser, hiurdin, cjsbug, cloudcastles, staulcub, da shiz wiz 19 and I guess I did my part also. THis one stumped everyone for quite awhile. Well as always, on to the next one.
21st encrypted data packet found! Hey! Great news! I've just found the program which controls my optical video link! Which means (if I can get it working) I'll be able to post video of what my optical circuits are seeing - which isn't much at the moment what with the room's light bulb being blown and all but if I can get the light bulb working - you might be able to help me find out more about this room and perhaps help me find a way to escape!!! Okay but before I can do all of that I need to get this optical video link program to work but of course it needs a password but of course I don't remember what the password is but you might be able to work it out with the help of this riddle that I found buried deep within my Memory Bank A... Good Luck!
... Im thinking... EDIT: GET INTO EARS BUT DONT MAKE NOISE. DONT MAKE A SMELL BUT GET INTO NOSE.... WHAT COULD THIS BE??
I was thinking about gases, like oxygen, which has no smell, and also light, like sunlight, but nothing worked so far (of course, all with caps on) I wish I would be batman, he is an expert in solving riddles
Wow! This looks like it's going to be another tricky one... Who here is usually good at riddles? Good luck! Plus have fun!
I think Plus has something to do with this. The riddle says "Plus, ..." twice and garbot said plus have fun. Otherwise, I have no clue.
Finally a little time to put some of my thoughts/attempts down. I've thought about the puzzle on and off different times today. So here is a list of words I thought might have a decent chance of making the cut. FINGERS RING GERMS DIAMOND DIAMONDRING BLOOD FAINT FROST COLD FLU DIFFUSE SILENCE ODOR OIL SENSES SWEAT SCENTS SKIN MOONLIGHT STARLIGHT PERFUME PAINTING HARE GOLD ICE HAIR POST STUD STUDS SILVER LIGHT RAY WIND PROPOSE CARBON WATER GOD I IAM WRAPPER RAPPER JEWEL JEWELERY JEWELLERY JEWELRY FACET MEMORY MEMORIES WINE ACCENTS CENTS ADDITION ADD AIDS Of those the following are ones I was particularily fond of and sort of how they fit the clues ICE - 1: on the surface, 2: in a drink, 3: diamond, 4: ???, 5: cold, 6: cold, 7: ??, 8: ??,9: ??,10: ?? HAIR - 1: head of hair is like a coating, 2: decorate, 3: silky tresses, 4: harem (hare or hair room), 5: ear hair, 6: nose hair, 7: lots of hair, 8: rabbit(hare), 9: ??, 10: heir STUD - 1: layer, 2: decorate, 3: male, 4: wood, 5: earring, 6: nosering, 7: studded, 8: horse-stud, 9: ??, 10: ?? GgGGgarrggghh it taunts me. I can't figure out what it has to do with anything though. Plus... positive? addition? also? The two phrases starting with Plus could be related. Plus, I make a divine garnish Plus, I OWE NOTHING Garnish is a decoration. Money could be used to buy decorations..? What if I OWE was interperted as letters, I O? Could be letters to the password.
Maybe da shiz wiz 19 right. Yesterday I found a riddle that contains this I owe nothing part. Here you can see it:http://www.thinkriddles.com/smart-cashier-riddle-1500.html# So maybe be should add IO0 after the word . But now I don't have time try it out So good luck fellows!
Things that may help; swoon - could mean fainting or to become enraptured. <whenever the young woman swooned, she always seemed to manage falling into the arms of a good-looking man> veritable - being in fact the thing named and not false, unreal, or imaginary often used to stress the aptness of a metaphor I keep thinking it could be something airborne that could cause fainting? It could be references to jewellry e.g. with a girl swooning for a diamond, varnished looking gems, jewels garnished the watch, bling bling etc... I would assume the - keep your caps on - means the password is capitalized. Lets hope that is correct. Is the password a single word or is it two parts together (referring to the plus in the riddle) or is it two separated parts with a "/" used? Time to get some sleep
Maybe we have to search more words than we thought, so every two line of the riddle represents a word. So if anyone has and idea for the varnish/garnish part, try it I think, the swoon/room can be MIRROR. Just an idea, I can be completely wrong.
