    Yikes…

This puzzle is proving to be trickier than I would have first thought?!:confused:

I can feel my joints starting to rust…

… and my brain cogs are seizing up…:(

    I REALLY wish I had a hint to give!

Hmm… If the solution really is a combination/sequence lock and we don't
know the correct combination/sequence… maybe we need to take
this puzzle ONE STEP AT A TIME...;)

If at first you don't succeed…:)

Well... I've got to go oil my joints and cogs!

    Good luck everyone!:D

Garbot said it's easy at A B C, the memory bank is Memory Bank A. Are there any references to Memory Bank B or C throughout the contest?

If you do what jwcasser did and add up their numerical values including A, you get 42. Which could relate to the previous 42 puzzle.

    Simplify...

I believe this puzzle to be easier than everyone thinks...;)

Take it one step at a time...

Try things out - Experiment! :)

I'm thinking the solution is a fraction (hence the simplify). Maybe something to do with the number of letters or the number of sides on the polygons or both.

Could also be the sum of the alphabetical index or ASCII codes...

Maybe then converted from numbers to letters (easy as ABC)

I'd guess that there would probably be 4 steps with this combination lock;)

    :)

Once we figure out what A is we enter that in by itself and according to garbot1 we can then input the next sequential part which is B etc...

now to find out what A is...

From the clues I knew the code had to be entered one at a time. With it supposedly being simple I ended up trying capitalized characters from the alphabet and in so doing found the first clue iphone.ezone.com/V/ the picture contained in web page, I decoded using the pictures used to decode lock but found it just confirmed that the first part was "V" so I found the rest by manually entering in the alphabet until the next one was found and that was the "Q" I continued this till I found all four.

    iphone.ezone.com/V/Q/M/X

forfeit the app prize AND nominate another Hover World Alternate Reality Game thread member to staulcub since he provided the decoder pictures so I could figure out how "lock" was decoded as I wasn't around for the previous puzzle that used them!!!

    Congratulations hiurdin!!!!:):eek::D

Wow! That turned out to be a tricky one after all...:D

Well... I'm going to just clean up the cobwebs that have accumulated during the solving of that last puzzle... then I'll search for more encrypted data packets from my newly unlocked Memory Bank A!

    Stay tuned!!

By the way hiurdin... who do you nominate to win eligibility points?

    Update!!

Okay! Just for fun, I processed all of the data and posts on this thread to see where everyone stands (rank-wise) in the running for the Grand Prize...

So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest, who has stepped in at the last second to solve the puzzle, who has taken the wildest guesses, who has come up with the most amazing deciphering ideas, who has blown the most gaskets, who has lost the most sleep, who has shown the most devotion to deciphering…etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. Drone (a cool hover toy!!!):D:eek:

    6. cjsbug
    7. Daldaris
    8. KoOne23
    9. speed4mee
    10. warcrack

Note: This list may change depending on how the rest of the contest continues... As you can see (if you look through this thread)... we've had quite a shuffle of names as we've progressed through this contest! So you never know! You've got to be in it for a chance at the Grand Prize! So get in there!

If your name hasn't made the list - you need to try harder (you may just be in position 11)!

Extra note: You don't need to actually solve the puzzles in order to be eligible... you may earn eligibility by just being helpful in the thread!

    Good luck everyone!

Be on the look out for more puzzles!!

Let's just hope the next puzzle isn't so puzzling! :)

Yes, I think the puzzle was working out that it was a guessing game :)

Hopefully my newly unlocked Memory Bank A will provide a new encrypted data packet! :D
