I think the last picture is acne/zits/pimples maybe even moles but I don't think apple face is a condition.

    Definitely tough...

Pic#7: I notice the test has a grade "-D" and that puppet is a "Dummy"
Then I thought Dummy -D...But what's an "ummy"?

Pic#8: I think those are zits, not apples

I took it a step further and added 'y' to 'ummy' and got 'yummy'

Yeah I keep going back and forth with that one. The slingshot does look like a Y.

The "cool guy with a comb" reminds me of the movie "Grease" which is related to oil, right?

    Hmm, it's getting good.
Maybe the other pictures are also related to oil, somehow.
Or, these pictures gives us a sentence related to oil.

Pic #6 Can means (early) morning.

Three pictures have some sort of projectiles. I wonder what the significance is.

There's also the 5 descriptions that might help us figure out the pics.

    Something tasty
    Something disgusting
    Something for the hard-working robot
Something that sounds like it might be extra-lubricating
    Something styling

Or perhaps when we figure out the pictures, the description gives us the order. ??

Going back to the yummy pic. The pot of water is boiling, and the bee is dead. So is that BOIL -B = OIL ?

Yummy Oil...hmm...I guess that's "Something Tasty"

I could be WAY off with this. It's late and my brain is all over the place.

    Good thoughts!

Then Pic #8 can be the disqusting one, and also related to oil.
"A pimple is a kind of acne, and one of the many results of excess oil clogging the pores." from wiki
And Pic #5 Grease can be the 'stylish' one.

Maybe, Pic #4 is dead oil. Maybe for the hard working robot.

    Well g2g to work.

I wonder if how or if the colours connect to things since each picture represents a different colour.

well, I have to call it a nite, but here is what I've been working on.

ordering by paragaph reference with possible answers solutions where the number in front is the picture order, but the words after the answer are as listed in the paragraph:
7 yummy oil - something tasty

8 crude oil - something disgusting

6 toil, moil - something for the hard working robot

4 recoil - something that sounds like it might be extra lubricating

5 oil slick, - something stylish

its possible the word 'poil' may be an answer, it basically means 'body hair' in french. The english translation is naked or birthday suit. could be the disgusting answer.

the 5 versions below deal with different capitalization. I have a feeling that the clue in the picture that says "HAVE LOST THEIR CAPS" has to do with capitialization of the answer. most likely either all lowercase or all uppercase but I tried a few others also:

    yummyoil/crudeoil/toil/recoil/oilslick
    YUMMYOIL/CRUDEOIL/TOIL/RECOIL/OILSLICK
    Yummyoil/Crudeoil/Toil/Recoil/Oilslick
    YummyOil/CrudeOil/TOil/RecOil/Oilslick
    yummyOil/crudeOil/tOil/recOil/Oilslick

then with oil slick reversed to match the others in word order:

    yummyoil/crudeoil/toil/recoil/slickoil
    YUMMYOIL/CRUDEOIL/TOIL/RECOIL/SLICKOIL
    Yummyoil/Crudeoil/Toil/Recoil/Slickoil
    YummyOil/CrudeOil/TOil/RecOil/SlickOil
    yummyOil/crudeOil/tOil/recOil/slickOil

    then ordered by picture:

    recoil/oilslick/toil/yummyoil/crudeoil
    RECOIL/OILSLICK/TOIL/YUMMYOIL/CRUDEOIL
    Recoil/Oilslick/Toil/Yummyoil/Crudeoil
    Recoil/Oilslick/TOil/YummyOil/CrudeOil
    recOil/Oilslick/tOil/yummyOil/crudeOil

and then again with oil slick reversed to match the others in word order:

    recoil/slickoil/toil/yummyoil/crudeoil
    RECOIL/SLICKOIL/TOIL/YUMMYOIL/CRUDEOIL
    Recoil/Slickoil/Toil/Yummyoil/Crudeoil
    RecOil/SlickOil/TOil/YummyOil/CrudeOil
    recOil/slickOil/tOil/yummyOil/crudeOil

then taking it at the perceived meaning with out the word 'oil' in some cases:
    by paragraph order:

    yummyoil/crude/toil/recoil/slick
    YUMMYOIL/CRUDE/TOIL/RECOIL/SLICK
    Yummyoil/Crude/Toil/Recoil/Slick
    YummyOil/Crude/TOil/RecOil/Slick
    yummyOil/crude/tOil/recOil/slick

    then by picture order:

    recoil/slick/toil/yummyoil/crudeoil
    RECOIL/SLICK/TOIL/YUMMYOIL/CRUDEOIL
    Recoil/Slick/Toil/Yummyoil/Crudeoil
    RecOil/Slick/TOil/YummyOil/CrudeOil
    recOil/slick/tOil/yummyOil/crudeOil

some other orderings that come to mind:
    c ryptic r obo o il d ispensing m achine

    c r o d m
    crudeoil/recoil/oilslick/???/moil

and the red CRYPTIC in the paragraph caught my eye:
    so:

    C R Y P T
    crudeoil/recoil/yummyoil/???/toil

I also have a feeling that the "--OUT OF ORDER--" is significant, telling us that the picture order isn't right or the 4/5/6/7/8 path order isn't right.

I also went down many other paths, but this seems most likely, all tho I think at this point it is as complex or more so than the other puzzles up to this point. Could be that I'm reading to much into it.

Well I think thats all for now. Nite people...good luck.

okay 1 more thought after reading huidins post, I think he has a point here

given the picture color background combined with the word CRYPTIC the colors could be

    cyan red yellow peach teal

which may suggest the ordering by picture as:

    5/8/7/6/4

are am I seeing conspiracy plots in everything?!?

I may have cyan and teal mixed up tho hard to tell

    my brain hurts.

don't have a whole lot new, but I was wondering the significance of each pictures background color raying out, that if the center of the rays meant something.

1st picture: alien spaceship is the center
2nd: the face, specifically around the mouth/upper lip
    3rd: the sun
4th: the point of collision between the rock and bee
5th: again the face, but more centered around between the eyes

I also just noticed maybe something to do with the eyes:
1st picture: alien looking forward or down at the tank, its hard to tell
2nd: dude looking out the left side but out of the picture
3rd: sleeply bird looking to his left, probably at the rooster
    4th: dummy staring forward
5th: guy looking cross-eyed at the pimple on his nose

very very complicated, unless I'm making it to complicated.

I'm completely at a loss. Part of me thinks the pictures are the red herrings here. and that we just need to get the colors in the right order.

Also the message says, just select a brand, and no brand names are visible... I'm totally lost. To many theories, none of them led us to some right way, as far as we know...

I don't disagree, I've putzed around with that idea some and can't get anything to click, but otherwise as I stated before I think I'm just making it more complicated than it probably really is.

I don't think the colors have anything to do with it. Since toil correlates with the first picture, I think its safe to assume that the other are in the right order. If its only one word per picture, I'd guess that:

    4=toil hardworking
    5=??? stylish
    6=??? Extra lubricating
    7=broil Tasty
    8=boil Disgusting
