Was it just substituting 2s for the 7s?

Yep, '7' was the variable. To make the first statement true, '7' = value of 2

    The rest is history.

    Nice work pajo_ojap!

The solution is to substitue the number 2 for each 7. I figured each line was a different part of the path. SO how to interpret each part. Then it dawned on me that the last part (7th) wasn't surrounded by paranthesis and that was significant. I figured it was telling me that 7 = 2 and used it as a value to substitute in any place a 7 was mentioned.

At this point I'm kinda torn because I remembered cloudcastles blurb about the sevens being significant. I'm not sure but it probably clicked subconciously. I was going to nominate da shiz wiz 19, as hes new to the group and have to give him a leg up but I think I have to pick cloudcastles instead as his input about the sevens was signficant even if I didn't conciously use it.

    So thanks cloudcastles

Hey thanks for the congrats everyone. If garbot1 could somehow make this a iphone game...i'd buy it in a minute. If it weren't for the late hours (1 am here at the moment), it might be a little more enjoyable and easier to work on, but then someone else would be in the same boat. As is I'm off to bed secure in the knowledge that I have one more solution under my belt.

Looking forward to the next one.

    Update!

    CONGRATULATIONS pajo_ojap!

I was beginning to wonder if that puzzle would ever get solved!

But the teamwork on that one was amazing!!

    Well done everyone!!

Okay... just for fun, I processed all of the data and posts on this thread to see where everyone stands (rank-wise) in the running for the Grand Prize...

So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest...etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. Drone (a cool hover toy!!!)

    7. cjsbug
    8. speed4mee
    9. warcrack
    10. KoOne23

Note: This list may change depending on how the rest of the contest continues...

If your name hasn't made the list - you need to try harder (you may just be in position 11... not mentioning any names *LN3000*)!

Extra note: You don't need to actually solve the puzzles in order to be eligible... you may earn eligibility by just being helpful in the thread!

    Good luck everyone!

    Stay Tuned for more puzzles!

For first look this looks like 6 sentence, 6 question. I think the different colors represents the words.

It gives Red Herring? :) If you place the letters from the right place from the original puzzle in the white spaces.

Hmm, maybe it will not lead us anywhere, but if you look at lines, all the letter have the same color, if you don't look the red ones.
Maybe there are the separators, or just disturbers.

Or another theory: we can see 4 color, red, green, blue, yellow. Yellow is a color from red and green. This can be a decoder... Just a thought...
