I tell ya... That exploding filing cabinet really rattled me... I can still hear it ringing in my ears! Plus, I think I might have caught some shrapnel in my head!?! I seem to have sucked something into my head air vent - as my internal fan is making a weird sound. Mind you... It's got me wondering... Why didn't I find the scrap of paper with the title and author's name on it? It must have been burnt to bits... unless... hmm? I have a feeling that knowing the title of this poem and the author's name would really help in solving this puzzle... there is something really familiar and strange about this poem... I'm hoping that solving this puzzle will unlock some more of my memories!?! ... So team... any luck in working out what the numbers mean? 4... 5... 6... and another 1.....?
Sadly, I wasn't able to google this particular poem. And more sadly, I have not gotten anywhere with any number-related theories.
Same here... I was looking at the poem and trying to solve the purple for hours already... I might need a little break first, I can't figure out anything YET though...
Found the title of the poem at http://iphone.ezone.com/wealth/health/sing/beauty/ its "Her Red Ring" by Anne A. Graeme The obvious anagram is "Red Herring" might be good or bad or there might be another anagram. Soooo close though
Good Job staulcub and jwcasser for finding the first part! We are all going to become masters at noticing Capitalization
You have to be kidding me. I swear I tried that early this morning also besides trying 4/5/6/7 and blue/green/black/red. I'll have to check my machine at home to make sure and see what the heck I typed wrong. I guess my eyes need some work also. Hey great job Staulcub and jwcasser! PS. I think I remember what I did wrong, but haven't verified it. I think I went with wealth/health/sing/wife...doh, wasn't thinking all that clearly at the time I guess.
16th puzzle solved!!! BRILLIANT!! Ah yes... Her Red Ring... Red HerRing! It's all coming back to me now! Anne A. Graeme must have been the name of one of my robotic-programmers. She must have known that I'd lose my memory (for whatever mysterious reason) and try to rediscover myself... and she then must have put one of her cryptic poems in the filing cabinet - triggered to explode and thus lodge the title and author name into my head and therefore trigger a memory recall! Of course! It's so simple now that I think of it! ... Either that or it's all just a weird coincidence? ... oh well! Congratulations staulcub! And well down everyone else for that fantastic teamwork!! Okay... just for fun, I processed all of the data and posts on this thread to see where everyone stands (rank-wise) in the running for the Grand Prize... So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest...etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. Drone (a cool hover toy!!!) 1. hiurdin 2. cloudcastles 3. jwcasser 4. Daldaris 5. pajo_ojap 6. staulcub 7. cjsbug 8. speed4mee 9. warcrack 10. KoOne23 Note: This list may change depending on how the rest of the contest continues... If your name hasn't made the list - you need to try harder (you may just be in position 11... not mentioning any names *LN3000*)! Extra note: You don't need to actually solve the puzzles in order to be eligible... you may earn eligibility by just being helpful in the thread! Good luck everyone! Stay Tuned for more puzzles!
17th data packet discovered!! Well, I finally got time to finish fixing my left arm... ... and... yup... you guessed it... My left arm went out of control! It seemed to have a life of its own! With some spilt oil on its index finger it proceeded to draw a scribble of something on the floor! I couldn't see what it was drawing - I really need to find a replacement light bulb for this room... this darkness is maddening (or at least that's what the pink magical talking dust bunnies told me) When my arm had finished scribbling... ... I risked blowing my dodgy optical circuits by taking a in-built-flash-photo of the scribble on the floor and this is what I saw... ..... ..... .... More math! Any thoughts anyone? Help!
