I found it by removing the 4= from the puzzle and focusing on the right side. I had found the iphone.ezone.com/1/ first so my thought of the line below the 1+5 being a divisor sign was accurate but then there was another line under that so I tried using 6 with the divisor like this iphone.ezone.com/1/6/ and got another page. From there I tried equals, =, True, False, then I thought maybe it is more literal so i tried TrueorFalse but to no avail so I put another / and then tried the TrueorFalse http://iphone.ezone.com/1/6/TrueorFalse/ and was finally successful! The capitalization is important for the TrueorFalse since without you won't get to the right page. Does the explanation help any?
Thanks! I have been fortunate so far. I wish the best for everyone to succeed. I am glad I can award points to others and I hope that everyone that has spent time participating will receive a good prize! As to whether I will win there is still a long ways to go as it looks like we haven't even reached halfway! With being a team and everyone being so awesome, I wish we all could get the grand prize! Hopefully we can get another math one as I feel bad that jwcasser wasn't around for this one.
Nooo!!! This is what I get for sleeping in I guess. Ah well good job getting it hiurdin and I've got to make sure to get up earlier
Its okay.. I believe garbot1 can still find some maths-related puzzles for us! Maths puzzle = AWESOME! And Parrot AR.Drone is reaaaaalyyyy COOOL!
Top 10 rank update! Grand Prize rank update: So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest...etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. Drone (a cool hover toy!!!) 1. hiurdin 2. cloudcastles 3. jwcasser 4. Daldaris 5. pajo_ojap 6. cjsbug 7. warcrack 8. KoOne23 9. staulcub 10. speed4mee Note: This list may change depending on how the rest of the contest continues... If your name hasn't made the list - you need to try harder (you may just be in position 11... not mentioning any names *LN3000*)! Extra note: You don't need to actually solve the puzzles in order to be eligible... you may earn eligibility by just being helpful in the thread! Good luck everyone! Stay tuned for more puzzles!!
Nice work huirdin...again! I refrained from looking at how the puzzle was solved until I solved it myself. I wish I would have been awake for this one, I think I could have given you a run for your money. I looked at the puzzle and almost immediately it struck me that it was saying there were seperate parts leading to the path. part 4 was 1, than + sign is a concatenation operation, so part 5 was 6 and than part 6 was TrueorFalse. Now granted I didn't just put that all together until huidins little clue about the close but not close enough page. At that point it kinda fell together. huirdin your grand prize position looks solider and solider. As I stated before I'm having tons of fun just trying to solve these little babies. Bring em on!
ah man, we're going to miss your input. Hopefully we will be one step closer to getting garbot1 up and running before you get back.
update! Well, I still haven't found a replacement light bulb for this room... The dispensing machine is ignoring me again... I think it is feeling threatened now that my memory is coming back to me and I'm getting smarter. I've started work on getting my left arm to work... difficult in the dark but easier now that my right arm is working... I'm starting to feel a bit more like a real robot now... hmm does that even make sense? I hope I find a new encrypted data packet soon!
Data Puzzle Number 16! Phew! Sorry it took so long for me to post again... I had nearly finished fixing my left arm when there was a sudden blast from the corner of the room... a filing cabinet had spontaneously exploded! I didn't even know there was a filing cabinet in this room! The explosion lit up everything in the room! I didn't have enough time to look around much... ... but... ... I did notice (as the room was lit up by firelight) - lots of burning paper fluttering to the floor! By the time the sparks and flames died away - I had collected as much of the pieces of paper as I could see... before everything went dark again. I then spent the time since then piecing together the puzzle-like mess of paper scraps (A very difficult task in the pitch black darkness). I then risked causing a short-circuit by again using my new (but dodgy and unpredictable) optical-circuit-in-built-camera-with-flash to take a photo of the paper-scrap-puzzle. And after viewing the photo, I could see that the paper-scrap-puzzle was filled with words and sentences! But the words and sentences made no sense! But then I realised that the paper scraps were upside-down So I flipped the photo the right-way-up and this is what I found... .... After reading it, I had a sudden memory recall! I had read this poem before! I'm pretty sure it means something! I just can't remember what! I can't even remember what the poem is called... .. or who wrote it. And why did the filing cabinet explode?! Was it programmed to self-destruct in case it was discovered? Too many questions! Do any of you have any ideas what this poem means? Help!
The Toad and the Beggar Woman? The Ugly Magical Toad and the Poor Beggar Woman? The Ugly Magical Toad King and the kiss that turned him back to normal and changed the Poor Beggar Woman into a Toad? No... I just can't remember the title...
There's certainly no princess in this poem. I haven't been able to find this poem anywhere, so its title still eludes me. I'd say the title would probably be fairly short though. "The Toad and the Beggar Woman" would be the most likely of garbot1's title suggestions, I would think. But of course it must be something else.
