This thinking cap is also a hint? It can also connected to the hitchhiker's guide (also a dead end for me :S or maybe I just need more lemon) I'm pretty sure it's connected to Hitchiker somehow, because the twitter message makes it obvious, But I can be wrong Just can't the right connection between the guide, and the picture.
Ok, so I guess maybe I'm not wrong in suggesting the connection to the Hitchhiker's Guide. Unfortunately, everything I tried does not get me the right ezone page. Still no clue how it relates to 1985, other than that one book. Oh well.
I stumbled across something when I looked deeper. In the picture is a stereographic 3d image and it looks like it says 101+ within this 3d image. I am putting this out here so we can get closer to solving this as a team! I probably will be going to sleep soon

Yeah we have to remember the "cap". I'm pretty sure that it has popped up at least once before in previous puzzles.

I'm still not sure I follow the solution, but maybe I'll try and figure it out later. Much congrats to hiurdin on solving this one. And of course everyone else for flipping ideas out there. I tried all sort of bird cliches and proverbs, like a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, the early bird gets the worm and others I can't remember from last night. I had a feeling I knew I had seen this bird before and then thought along the lines of twitter and tweeting but couldn't come up with anything that I thought solid there to post. By this time my eyes were tired but I thought gosh does part of that picture look stereographic? But I couldn't focus enough to tell, so instead of leading people down the wrong path I again didn't post anything of my suspicions. In hindsight I wish I would have, even if wrong just to generate ideas in the thread, altho the 42 and 1985 ideas I think led everyone down the wrong path, atleast it did me for a while. I was hung up on the idea that there was some sort of connection between Back to the Future and HHGTTG that centered around hover boards and of course the connection to Hover world. Lessons learned, even if its a suspicion about the clues, post it. It may jog someone elses brain that comes up with something that will rejog your brain. I think its cool that everyone is collaborating. I wish my work hours this week were such that it gave me more time to interact with the group and thread. Well its off to work again. First there was the 101+ in the stereogram Then on to twitter... Haha yes the 42 and 1985 were red herrings. The previous tweets had words in CAPS. Combine then all together and you get: "GALACTIC GUNNER PROMO CODES TREASURE HUNT THREAD CHECK OUT THE GALACTIC CAPTAIN'S LAST POST VIEW NUMBER" In that last post was the number 68721. (posted a few days ago so it would get buried in the forum, lol) So just add 101+68721 and there you have it.
