Demolishing within a single game won't make you lose anything. Although if you start a new game, everything will be reset.

No but since there's 49 targets, and my end-game score had 45 I'd say around end Y17 or so. If it was a timing thing I should have gotten it right after I unlocked Nobleman in my first game... Unless you also need to get #1 for LN. Do you remember if you had #1 in LN? XD

Edit// Ok, I removed all baths in my inn except for the 2 Large baths, for many months none of the couples, Rich/Old/Young/Family would goto the bath, after I added Fast Friends they started going. I was going to confirm this before I added it in my guide, but I forgot and submitted the new version. :/

Yeah I've been raising pop for everyone one by one to try the kairobot challenge as I kinda rushed through them unlocking though I think the Nobleman and Noblewmn are both in the 60s/70s right now. I did get the #1 in LN but I believe I did it after I unlocked the two...glad to hear that I'm not the only one to see this...I'll continue raising everyone else and see if it unlocks...hoping its one of the other's popularity levels and not something else.

Ok, I've checked, all 16 hearts carried over into a new game. So it's definitely possible to get a full 18 heart large bath on your 4th playthrough:

1st play - unlock large bath
2nd play - 6 effect layout (shown above) + fame seed on one bath
3rd play - 6 effect layout + fame seed on other

You should be able to end with a 15-16 heart effect on both your baths. Then in your 4th play, it simply becomes a matter of filling up the other 2-3 hearts each. I haven't done it but you should be able to push 200 scenery baths with full 18 hearts. Very cool.

Oops, I went back to check and I had #1 in LN 1 year 1 month earlier, not 1 month. Back to hypothesizing/testing then... :/

Just curious, have you completed the Tea Master (for Tea Room) investment? Seems like a stretch but the only thing that happened (that I recorded) in the 1-2 months before I unlocked Ceremony was the proposal for Tea Master.

So in this way you don't have to unlock the Large Bath before Year 15 in the first game, simply build it in the 2nd one and add effects anytime before Y15, and it'll continue to carry over. Nice. :D

Edit// Hm, I wonder if that would be possible or if you still have to unlock the requirements for Large baths (i.e. get all #1s) and get the effects before Y15. Did you manage to unlock Chimpan Z for your subsequent games?

I found that the best place for additional entrances / reception desks, is the lower left corner of the lot. If you observe the crowds coming in during golden / advertise weeks, they originate from the lower left corner of the screen. Using gates along the right side of the lot causes guests to have to walk more to get into your inn (meaning less time dumping their money on your services). For example

    DDW
    DDW
    EEW

    Legend: W - lot wall, D - Reception Desk, E - Entrance

Also regarding rooms I have found the following layout to maximize scenery:

    XXX
    SRS
    SSS
    SRS
    XXX

    Legend: X - road; S - scenery; R - room

Rooms where you cannot put scenery behind them or are on a corner are not worth while. For example:

    XXX
    SRX
    SSX
    SRX
    XXX

    or

    XXX
    SRS
    WW

Best to put something other than a room on a corner. Getting better scenery numbers seems to work better than trying to improve compatibility.

Funny you should mention that investment. Since I was gunning for the #1 in all guides, I saw the tech tree and didn't level up the tea expert until after
    1) I'd gained #1 in all guides
    2) I'd gained the large bath
    3) I'd leveled up Nobleman and Noblewmn

It was pretty much the last major thing I did.

That's actually what I did, I played a rubbish first game, getting the feel for it, then just letting it finish to unlock the fast game speed option.

I'm not sure but it would be practically impossible to not get all #1s with the big bath unless you deliberately did so. Chimpan Z will not appear in subsequent games, neither will Kairobot. They will however, come to visit as has been said somewhere above. There's no more need for them since everything is already unlocked.

There is a balance between putting scenery vs having a sufficient number of rooms in your entire plot. If you truly wanted to max it out, you could easily surround each room with scenery with a road leading in:

    SSSSS
    SSSSS
    SSRXX
    SSSSS
    SSSSS

This might be useful in securing Chimpan Z and (especially) Kairobot the first time you get them. In subsequent games however, doing so will leave you with very little room overall to generate income. I've found that popularity is actually far more important in determining target xp gain and price; scenery actually matters less. A scenery value of 50ish is more than sufficient for rooms. I also usually use a glamour seed(?) on my dominant room, usually western rooms for a 30 scenery bonus. At about 200pop for rooms all 50+ rooms in my plot are very quickly filled up.

Yeah that and side gates will help to shorten the entry time. It's useful at the start when you'll want to maximise profits, but subsequently you'll have more money than you know what to do with, from there you can just work on getting the best bath/room layouts.

Regarding scenery, yep, compatibility only raises the bonus by 0.5, generally having more Popularity would be better. As equivocal states though, ~50 Scenery would be good enough. The first few times (25) you increase it, it gives a 1:1 to Popularity, but later on the effect drops.

Hm I don't suppose you unlocked Ceremony after Tea Master though? :X

Oh ok, I didn't think about that because I started my new game before I unlocked either. Which means the only thing that you can get 2 of is the Pond?

And regarding the +Scenery seed, it's the Relaxation seed from getting #1 in Relaxing Springs. Thanks for bringing it up, I wanted to check if the effect applies to multiple facilities but somehow forgot to. :S

Yep, yours is correct, it appears he missed the ones in row 7.

Edit// I took a screenshot of a guest playing Ping Pong alone:

Great layout, but don't you need gaps between rows of shops etc. for it to be accessible?

I've unlocked both the nobleman and noblewoman, but i haven't unlocked the rich cpl yet. (ther pop is at 88 atm)
Do i need to raise their pop to 100?

Also i didn't unlock the CEO. I did unlock the governor and legislator though.

    Any tips?

    Thx in advance.

EDIT: Unlocked the CEO after getting the Comedian (and all other people) to lvl 30.
And after getting the Rich heir to lvl 30 i unlocked the Rich couple.

For 1-tile facilities they are accessible from any side so you just need 1 empty space (floor) anywhere adjacent to it.

0 is the minimum working popularity, for any of them having higher won't cause it to be unavailable. In any case it seems there are other criteria as well. As Duss321 mentioned, trying getting Rich Heir to 30 Pop and see if it works.

CEO is supposed to be unlocked with the Heliport investment, which shows up at the same time as Career Change (Governor) after getting COO to 30 pop. You unlocked Governor before CEO?

I'll test out the unlock criteria for Rich Couple again... Some time. Been slacking off with school work lately...

What's a good strategy to start out with?
I can't get over like 10~15 customers in one month D:

Improve your facilities' scenery, it helps in raising popularity more than having compatible ones. Try the early Jacuzzi bath layout in the first post, although you only have one Senior target at the start, but at least she has the most money. The number of guests you get depends on your inn popularity, which in turn depends on the target's popularity level, so try and raise them as much as you can, and unlock new ones through investments. The number of stayers will increase gradually, so don't worry about that.

Also, try to get Rank 1 in Glamour Springs as early as possible and use the Glamour seed on your female bath, it'll raise it's base compatibility level by 1 for Females. And when you unlock Milk, use it on the female bath to get the Silky Smooth effect.
