Hi all, I was wondering how to unlock Maple Trees? I read on the topic / phazer's guide I had to get 10 Plum Trees (I have more than 10 on site + 10 in stock) and nothing happens still. It's written on the guide besides the 10 Plum Trees that "Expand Store II (tentative)" is needed. My Hot Spring is already full size, or did I miss something?
Now I have Tea Expert in my inn and on its way to increase Pop. Last night I got new facilities of arcade, I'm wondering that if it can be put close to the tatami rooms or western rooms cuz I have no much place to lay arcade.
Expand Store II refers to the store inventory upgrade, not the land expansion/land deed upgrades. You'll have to buy a certain number of items from the shop to unlock the investment. Expand Store I is about 55 items, not too sure about the second one, could be 150-200. If you haven't unlocked it already just buy lots of cheap items. It won't cause the compatibility to go down for rooms if that's what you mean. You can check the first post for the full list.

You need to invite the Beautician over, which I believe should be unlocked after getting a combined Female (Biz-woman, Antique Dlr etc) popularity of 200. Just set your Targets to include them and play normally, they'll eventually level up. To speed up the process you could build baths with the group effect and other group-oriented facilities (ping pong, arcade, karaoke). Also, boost the facilities' popularity with items and scenery. Check my guide for the details, basically you'll want to reserve Western/Tatami Rooms depending on their age groups, and choose one with high scenery/popularity. You'll need baths with the appropriate effect and other high popularity facilities nearby too.
I have the option to buy the Architect investment but it then asks me to choose a room for them. All rooms are labelled as reserved when I try to select them. I've tried building more rooms but no luck. Any ideas ? ---------------- No worries guys, answered my own question. Clicked on a room and it reserved it for the architect. Thought it meant that I couldn't reserve it. Dumb-ass.

Deleted receptionist desk by accident! Hi everyone, I just bought this app today for my iPhone. Anyways, I had the architect come in and I saw that I could purchase a new receptionist desk...I deleted the old one and now I can't buy a new one! How can I get my old desk back or buy the new one?!

Does anyone know how to rotate the direction of the baths/facilities? Also I'm not really getting how to play this game... I'm still on year 1, and I played around 5 Tatami rooms, 4 baths, a restaurant, a vending machine, an arcade, and a shop. All of these are surrounded by strategically placed scenary (pine trees and that flower shrub). So what do I do now, simply wait? I can't find what there is to do other than watch the customers...

You can view your high score from the game menus. There's no online ranking although it's stated in the game. Game Dev Story was updated today with Game Center support for leaderboards (and achievements), so maybe we'll see an update for HSS in the future. Hm it's been a long time since I played this, but IIRC the only buildings you can rotate are the regular baths. Facilities can be accessed from any side so you just need to have one side facing the floor, it doesn't need to be the "front". You can unlock new guests (targets) and facilities through investments, so basically you'll be improving your inn through expansions and facilities, attract more guests, earn more money etc. Not for me, although I've only played once normally. You might want to start a playthrough with your Large Baths having all effects, that should help your customers' satisfaction somewhat. You'll also start off with 1 scenery item each which helps to add to your facilities' scenery at the start. It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but you should go try and get a Glamour Seed early on, that'll help with the female customers (and the usage of Milk). Otherwise, just play normally, and try to upgrade as fast as possible. Not quite sure what you mean, you can't "change the look" of facilities or "go into rooms" in this game. Edit// Dunno if equivocal is still checking out the forum, but I'll just post my opinions. Based on his layout you'll need to expand your land before you can place the large baths in the same position as he did, so typically you'll want to try another layout or just go with your own, and experiment as you progress.
