Stramge thing happened to me during mission THE SAND TEMPLES: SECRETS IN SAND. When I entered huge cave with huge blue pygon or whatever it is stone token broke apart. I could collect only two pieces. I couldnt do anything else and gate on top stood closed. I returned to very beginning of level, but I didnt find anything helpful. So I went back to cave and what happened. All monsters killed and stone token was whole. I could easily pass through gate which was closed before. I guess its bug.
Make the intro movie skippable! Oh and GameCenter, how I yearn for the day achievements are mandatory.
Excellent example of an AAA game; great graphics, interesting storyline & exciting gameplay. Good job Phosphor. A bit turned off by the accent and goofy-looking Pygons though
Are the blueprints for all the costumes available to find lying around within the game levels? I still have 3 costumes that remain locked - the fourth from the end and the last two at the end. I'm not sure if I have just overlooked the blueprints or if they have to be obtained in some other way.
I like this game a lot. I've played up through the first level in Sudenne but I've stopped so as not to encounter some of the bugs others have mentioned. Just waiting for the patch. As great as this game is, it definitely could have used a little more time in the oven. Overall, it runs great on my New iPad but I'm getting the Pygon popup text when I return to Cuthbert as well. Not a gamebreaker by any stretch but it is annoying. Overall, I love the level designs and the exploration the most. I tend to hang out in each level and just look around for secrets and branching paths The combat is good, but it could really use some combos or weapon-specific special attacks just to add some more depth. Any word on an Android release? I'd love to play this on the go on my Galaxy Nexus!
Haha I doing exactly the same thing. Waiting in Cuthnert for patch, while collecting blueprints from golden enemy. Weapons design is realy nice and would be realy great if they have different style of fighting.
Help please! Hello! I am hoping for some help please. I am in Suddene, on the second mission, 'the sand temples: secrets in the sand', and I am at a point where I need to get the big turtle to move in the river to allow me to jump on him to hop from one side to the other. When I sing the song, little bird type figures fly out of the horn. The turtle moves out, hesitates, and retracts. Can someone please advise on what I may be missing please? Also, just curious if you are able to, or ever need to, switch songs? Any information much appreciated! Thanks in advance so much!
Blueprints Sweet. I just got to westerness and have been thorough but still see a lot of blanks. It sounds like many will come from battle too though. Where will you post? I haven't seen a wiki yet. I'll take a screenshot before grabbing my next one.
Not sure how to upload photos from the iPad. But westerness 1:burn down the vines and go in passage that opens for the mace of haras or something Westerness ramparts/arena the aurara hammer is on the left. I kept exploring left and just fell forever. When I tried from the checkpoint the arena was a circle being lifted by the blue bird pylons. Crazy
Have the devs said if this is going to get an update for retina display on iPhone 4? I really want to get it but not if it doesn't look good. If I have to I'll wait until the next iPhone comes out and get it but I'd much rather play it sooner.
Game Impressions Completed the game yesterday, what an effort! Last world is an order of magnitude better than the ones preceeding it in terms of gameplay imho. Personally I would have cut the gamelenght in half...especially the first worlds...a bit too boring and set in dumb mode (you just have to follow the trail). Whoever was in charge to place the checkpoints should be jailed Fortunately he must have been distracted when they placed the last one. You do not put a checkpoint HALF AN HOUR OF IDENTICAL EVERYTIME PUZZLES BEFORE the hard fight! The cutscenes were amazing, worth of the price of admission alone. After being my favorite genre for about 10 years, I now find action adventures a bit boring (explore, move some switches, proceed, fight, watch cutscene, rinse and repeat) and this is no different, but story was interesting and I really felt compelled to see the end (which was damn good, especially last 3 stages). The thing I really disliked was that I had to resort to grinding (not wanting to buy iAPs) to complete it...the most useful item in the gameworld (potions) require 5 gems, the only thing that is no abundant in the game (I was sitting on a pile of gold/pygite at the end of the game...never find an use for it). So before every last section I had to spend 20-30 boring minutes fighting first world arena to get the required 25 gems and have the 5 (the max) potions. It doesn't help that if you die in the 5 hard monster in a row before the boss sections you have to replay the whole level because of the dumb checkpoint placements. Without this iAPification of the game (I consider this so) the game would have been more enjoyable...they really disrupted the flow. To be fair I forged a whopping total of 3 weapons before realizing the gain didn't matched the absurd cost...so I relied just to one weapon and potions. In the end I even forged the big weapon, but it was too slow so I sticked to my sword. Controls were surprisingly good, never had a problem with those. EDIT: Played the game on iPad 3, sometimes I had to reboot because audio would disappear...only after long gaming sessions.
Ok, so that means some grinding is needed? Can somebody confirm this? How necessary are those 5 potions? Thanks!
To be fair I relied to it in just the very last 3 stages (which are rather long and way better than the rest of the game, including some puzzles). The whole game was a cakewalk in comparison and I never even visited the arenas nor even thought about grinding (you get 1, sometimes 2 gems per fight). But there is a big difficulty spike in last bosses. Or maybe I just suck at the game. If you do not have potions and you make 2-3 mistakes during a fight...it's back to the chackpoint again. And checkpoints are placed like half an hour before, so it became tedious. In the end I just loaded me with potions before every section and proceeded. FORTUNATELY, the last fight (which is amazing btw, cutscenes and all) has the checkpoint right before it.
