I don't think it will be better than infinity blade but I do think if it is fairly balanced iap wise and a good story it could be great.
I believe they said that Zynga hasn't pushed them to do freemium or any IAP. May I ask what you felt was so great about Infinity Blade? To me, the story was non-existent, the combat didn't change after the third fight or so, and it was short. The only reason to keep playing the game after an hour or so, to me, was just to get the gold to get the cool looking weapons. It didn't take long at all to blow through the game once you figured out each enemies pattern, which was really only needed on less than a handful of them.
Because Infinity Blade doesn't just feel like it's been made by guys who know how to make games, it's made by a team of professionals who made a unique game that has obvious production values behind it. It was the first Unreal-powered game on the iOS, still blows away the competition with graphical power, and is very, very entertaining.
I like the infinity blade franchise. The game world is rather expansive and with each game/book/update that is released the world and lore just gets richer and deeper. The 2nd game had a much stronger narrative backbone too and I was actually interested in the characters and the plot. In my opinion, these aspects are much more important than being able to walk around. lol..*cough* Aralon *cough*. I can't pull many original ios game which has more lore or a better story than the IB franchise on the whole off the top of my head...not sure what you mean by no story.

I recall mentioning original iOS games. Lol..and i definitely did not say that IB is the only game with a good story. It is a good list though and btw I have played everything on that list.
I can`t believe you didn`t mentioned Dark Meadow in that list /Going back into my corner and keeps crying.
Infinity blade 2 along with the book make an excellent story, and in my opinion one of the best on ios.
