Well, the controls are broken, specifically auto acceleration. It says I should touch the screen to brake and instead I need to touch the screen to accelerate. Even when the race starts it says “wait for the countdown to accelerate automatically” and I’m just standing there and nothing’s happening.
Check the control options, seems maybe they have changed the default scheme and not updated the tutorial but it has multiple options including the one it says where it auto accelerates and tap to break.
@ste86uk I tried multiple - maybe even all of them marked as auto accelerate but none of them work as intended. All works the exact opposite: hold to accelerate, let go to brake despite the description.
@macplash ah yes I see, that’s weird. Don’t less all of this skew your opinion of the game because until this update the game has been perfect with no issues. So hopefully they get it back to that very soon.
They just dropped another update (now version 1.8.7) Not sure what may have been fixed in 1.8.7... I guess they weren't kidding about the constant stream of updates. Loving this game!

The game is surprisingly good. Especially the controller. Im never into a racing game b4. Just bought the full game at 0.99$. But why so inexpensive?
Yep its a great game. Would love it if he could update Final Freeway 1 and 2, they're great Out Run style games by the same dev
Glad to see people finding and getting into the game still it is amazing. I need to get better at it again to do these new levels after so long away from the game.
For the longest time, I had no idea what was happening with IAPs in Horizon Chase (as an owner of the initial premium version) but the new in-game store thankfully makes everything abundantly clear. The game was just updated with a new expansion, Summer Vibes, which is available for $1.99 ($0.99 for a limited time) and if you don’t own the World Tour pass (which you should if you’re an old school owner), there’s now a premium bundle with World Tour and Summer Vibes that’s also discounted (old school folks, restore your purchases first...you’ll only have to buy Summer Vibes). Great effing time to get into or revisit this, and yeah, there are apparently 2 more expansions planned. Crazy that this is almost 6 years old and going strong!
I realy want to like this game it does almost everything right if you dont mind the unbelievably cheating opponent it is impossible for any other ai to always drive infront of you
Love this game, been looking forward to trying out the Senna expansion pack Cant buy it ! I tape the 'buy now' in Campaigns but nothing. Anyone else had any luck ? Edit - Now says review your payment method and try again ?? It let me buy one of the other expanion packs i didnt have earlier. Presume it might all start working later today
Yeah. Same thing. Tap buy and nothing happens. I toggled the first person view mode and that does nothing as well.
