This game is incredible! It's like a love letter to games that I played when I was younger; Top Gear 3000, Lamborghini American Challenge, Outrun, etc. With my Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i on my iPod Touch 6, this game plays fantastically. A true masterpiece, this game is.
have you any friend on FB playing HC? did you invite someone with HC to join your FB page? i had the same loading cloud until invited CoreyFox ( look at http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=269027 ), then the leaderboard has appeared.
Anyone who has ever played an 8-bit or 16-bit racer knows exactly how this works. Hell, in Enduro for the Atari 2600 you must overtake 300 cars each day to continue!
I'm usually pretty hopeless at racing games, but this one makes me look good! This is what those 8bit games I played on the ZX Spectrum in the 80s & those early polygon games I played on the Amiga in the 90s wanted to be when they grew up. It's beautifully, garishly 80s retro with a huge dollop of 21st Century polish all over it. Love the soundtrack, love the gameplay, love the overall aesthetic - just wish this had existed when I was in my teens, not in my 40s...
I have made a promise that I wouldn't buy newer games unless I clear most of my backlog. If it weren't for that, it would be "instabuy" for both of them.
I may get crucified for saying this, but....I wish it was just a little easier to level up, or at least other ways of leveling up. I'm on my 3rd car and have 2 of the performance upgrades, but would like to be able to use coins or something. This game is still a 10 and just gives me something to work for.
Wow. That's a brazilian game? I wasn't aware of that. Gonna throw some bucks for a fellow developer from my country, for sure!
In case the devs are listening, here are some suggestions for the future... (The game is near perfect but this would put it over the edge) - Outrun style mode with random choices, run through 10 levels to win (or something like that) - Allow you to use points to change vehicle colors, or make them unlockable somehow... - DLC for new tracks and cars! - multiplayer Just my 2 cents!
add also my previous suggestions: volume control for soundtrack/fx & change car after each race/track without exit to the map
