I believe this game is how a game should be made: Is it realistic? No. Is it Fun? Yes ! Is it fast / smooth? Yes. Is it Premium? Yes. Is it expensive? No. Does it have a good gameplay? Yes. Does it have IAPs/timers/etc? No. Does it have good music? Yes. Does it have lots of control customizations? Yes. Does it have many levels? Yes. Does it have a replayability? Yes. It is however an arcade game without realistic graphics but if someone told me to choose between freemium asphalt 8 and this, it would be definitely this !
This ga,e makes me rage hard. Sooo many cars. 20 cars per race. I hit the backs of cars, I want to throw my iPad because it makes me not able to get 1st. Fun game...but a rager
So I already have anxiety and sadness for when I complete this game! I just don't want it to end!!! It would be awesome if the developers could add some sort of endless mode or better yet a multiplayer mode to keep the fun going! : )
The worst feeling is being in first place and running out of fuel #, just sitting there as other cars knock past you. Best racing game on iOS hands down
The best feeling is being in first/second/third place and running out of fuel, but manage to win by using the turbo.
Fantastic game. 5* Would love to see a version of this in the old Out Run style where you reach checkpoints and have choices of which turn to take to start new stage.
This reminds me strongly of Top Gear on the SNES. Couldn't tell you how many hours I spent playing that. I was only ok at the game but my brother was an absolute legend at it. Thanks for the memories, love this. Edit: Woot, just saw Top Gear mentioned in the app description! SEE YA!
Finally played...5 stars all the way. AquirisGames: you guys deserve to stay at the top of the AppStore charts, kudos for such a lovely game and what an awesome way to pay the classics such an homage while leaving them in the dust for such a smooth yet bittersweet victory lap!
I'd second some kind of check point/ splitting path mode like outrun. that would be awesome. I'm only on to the second area and already have a slight sadness of it ending. it's so good I don't want it to end. it feels like a new version of an old arcade game from the graphics to the music everything here seems to perfect to be true, hands down best racing game I've played in a long time.
Barry Leitch was always there! Well, for as long as I remember. This game is awesome and full congrats to the developers for making a "love letter" that is exactly how I remember these games - no they weren't so colourful or such high res or clarity sound, but they were like this in my rose-tinted memory! Thanks for not getting distracted by calls for simulation characteristics or other features. It is authentic in the right way. On a side note to Aquiris. It seems I have chronically underpaid you for your efforts here. What can I do to say thanks? Buy a soundtrack, merchandise? I would have paid more than this over twenty years ago. Thanks for not using IAPs but I'd love to contribute more than the purchase price somehow. Also thanks for the great tumblr, really enjoyed the details there. And it still exceeded my expectations #
Good ole times with Top Gear 2 on my SNES Was never able to beat that game when i was a kid but ill definately be finishing this one! 5*
