Do the cars gain air any on hills, or do the cars always hug the road? The gameplay footage so far appears to show the cars always hug the road. I'm not expecting flying in the air like Asphalt 8, but would expect some slight air on hills at a high speed.
Can't put this down and can't remember the last time a game took hold of all my attention like this...probably Wayward Souls. I've been saving all my nitro Boosts for the last lap and seems to help with coming in first. I think that more upgrades should be available in the bonus races. As of now, you can only get two upgrades per bonus track. Would love if there were other ways to secure upgrades.
I can't think of any other game, on iOS at least, where the developers' love for the inspiring properties comes through so beautifully. For someone like me who spent upwards of 100 hours on the Top Gear games, Horizon Chase is a nostalgia trip of stunning proportions.
As a non specialist/fan of racing games, and i tried a lot over the years with loving Final Freeway, this really stands out amazingly. Could be my GOTW... Only one very annoying thing for me: The brilliant music is way to loud compared to the sfx. Possible to get two volume sliders, please?
With games like need for Speed, Real Racing and many more I can't find a reason to pay anything for this game that seems to be designed for the old people when such weak graphics were entertaining...WOW
Pretty dumb thing to say, for a genius. For your sake I hope the "27" in your handle doesn't indicate your age because that'd be truly pathetic.
223 App Store ratings with an average of 5 stars, 66 TouchArcade ratings with the same average, 28 pages in the thread full of praises... And you can't find a reason to pay anything for this game?... No comments.
Nice troll. This game is better than any NFS game since maybe Hot Pursuit way back about 15 years ago... ...and there's nothing "weak" about this game's graphics. It both looks and plays great.
As for why you should buy it, there are too few racing games which are premium with that much contents and no IAP. Just for that we should encourage the dev by buying his game.
Because both games you mentioned are made by a company aimed at hoovering up money via over priced and ridiculous IAP. Horizon Chase is an old school arcade racer where you play to progress. The way games should be, not by paying £20 to buy more gas or £40 for enough gold to upgrade your car just so you can pass another two races before hitting another pay wall.
I wanna give extra kudos to the devs for making the tilt controls feel so damn perfect. I never use virtual controls for racers, so to have such impeccable tilt mechanics is damn near unbelievable. This is the best racer ever on iOS. Period. This and Crossy Road are all I've had time for.
