I'm just now updating too. Let's send each other some challenges on the new levels And rich I'd probably go for Hookbot, as at least it's a different character to play with and has some different abilities. Although palette swaps are great too! More money for pizza rolls that way.
Im having control problems too But strangely the new maps play like normal but some maps definitly have lag issues and its not open faint cause ive played offline and they persist kepa you should look at these problem cause im also competing for leaderboards
What THE HELL!?! These new levels SUCK! Mainly because of the fact that I cannot enjoy them at a slow pace, Im constantly running from the GHOST, as HOOKBOT! Kepa, when people buy DLC to make this game easier by REMOVING the ghosts at the cost of being able to use a gun, they want to use it in ALL levels, not just the easy ones. Please PLEASE, PLEASE put the ghost back to off in the next update, I really feel that my $.99 has gone to waste on a character that for most of the levels, is GREAT, but is the worst character possible for another, simply because of the unfair ghost. Please? (ps. I have kidnapped the owners of tonios pizza rolls, if you do not meet my demands by the next update, I will... TICKLE HIS FEET!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!)
Holy mother!! Kepa you weren't kidding about these new levels being hard. After roughly 2 hours and 100+ F bombs, I've finally beat the very first new level. The first one!! There's still more after this?!? I want to check out the others, but I'm thinking hacking my foot off at the ankle with a rusty shovel might be less punishing. That said, please don't nerf them!! It was well worth the heartache of beating the first level for the feeling of accomplishment I got. And there is now a potentially possible hat flapping it's golden wings atop my head that is never getting removed. That's all the reward I need.
When you said that the new cosmetic DLC character was a bounty hunter, i imagined Boba Fett off star wars, which i would have loved in hookchamp, but im not going to buy the actual DLC so that your results are accurate, because i wouldnt actually buy any cosmetic DLC in future games of yours unless it was really cool, which the bounty hunter isnt no offence but the star wars idea would be better IMO. Anyway, im off now to try and get that golden skull to unlock the harder levels, that level is so unforgiving!
+1 you can let hookboot swing slower so he is just for exploring or just let him like he is but pls let hookbot not be followed by that damn fast ghost

First i was going to complain, i also think the Space Levels are hard, not the swinging, but the damn fast ghost. I would say that this way they made sure everyone should buy the DLC.. and from being optional, they made it almost a necessity. But then i read some people saying that in these new levels, even Hookbot is chased by the ghost, and really a TOTALLY agree with their decision, otherwise they would put an ENORMOUS value in the DLC, and these players (who bought) would have an enormous advantage. I plan to buy to support the developers, but i dont want the balance to be ruined. ---- Kepa, remember that i said the Mo'Money Achievement wasnt unlocking in the Gold Skull!? I was playing the Rat Levels (the only ones that i didnt beat the local score yet) and managed to get in the the FIRST (forgot the name) Rat Level... i dont know if it is possible, or if it is as glitch, but i just wanna say that it unlocked there... and if someone has the same problem, they should try there too... Also, cant you put an update to choose wich hook to use? I also thinks the Cursed (Jack) one sometimes lags the game, and i think the Cannon (Gunnie) isnt as accurate for me... sometimes i would prefer to come back to the Golden One (you could put it like that, once you bought the cursed, you can choose the Golden, but with the qualities of the cursed)... One last comment, if you use Gunnie and the Cannon Hook, when you reach the end of the level and she "shoots" Jack, the image is someway hilarious... the Hook passes trough Jack (like killing him lol)!!
i think it was planed to be that hard hmmm.. the advantage thing ... i havent made any of my best runs with hookbot on rat and skull levels just because of the fast ghost and you cant shoot with hookbot so is a few sec slower but maybe Kepa you can make the hookbot swing slower(as mentioned before ) and then remove the ghost so the DLC buyer dont have an advantage(although there is none) and the other people are happy
No, maybe i didnt express myself clearly. The advantage i mean is NOT for beating the levels faster, is just it would be VERY easy to finish these levels with no ghost chasing you, and with infinite boots... These levels were meant to be hard, and they should be. Nothing against casual players or easier levels, i also prefer them... what i cant stand is people that put in their minds that they need to finish EVERYTHING in the game, despite giving up and saying, it is too hard for me... I consider myself a hardcore player, but even i sometimes give up some achievement on X360, i dont have any problem saying: "This isnt for me".
yes, but the problem is, we PAID for hookbot, with the new DLC char, she is the same as gunny, but hookbot was designed as a character that removed the time limit, at the expense of a gun, it was mainly designed to explore the caves with no limit, however, now we don't have the only real perk from the robot, and 1, with a max speed that the ghost can catch up with, and 2, no gun, the new levels are impossible with a character we PAID for, so basically, we paid for something that doesn't work, and in fact makes it harder (I'm pretty sure that there is something in the trade descriptions act about false advertising, we bought hookbot with the guarantee that there would be no ghosts, now there is a very difficult ghost and a character not equipped to deal with it) If hookbot has to face the ghost, at least give it a weapon, the gun is actually required to beat this level, and with no gun, hookbot cannot even get out of the starting bit. TL;DR GIVE US WHAT WE PAID FOR OR TONIO GETS TICKLED! Edit, surely if there is a ghost, people would be faster, as they are trying to escape, with no ghost, people would not rush as much and we would be able to explore freely and explore the level art.
I didnt know Hookbot didnt have the shotgun... so i totally agree that at least they should give him some gun in the space levels... what I (just MY opinion) dont agree is to remove the chaser in these levels... if they do it, it would be VERY easy to FINISH.. and the DLC would be almost a necessity to finish them...
qpawn number 1 world score already, kepa, I was laughing at zoo and mikeg about the qpawn conspiracy, but I'm starting to wonder if this guy is legit or not. also, do not nerf the new levels, in this video game era of blizzard entertainment needing stuff so even the sucky people can compete (world of Warcraft) don't let a game as beautiful and pure as hook champ succumb to whiney babies. remember the 8 bit era of video games that were too hard!
maybe not nerf the level But at least remove the ghost from hookbot That's what we bought him for. @Roadblocked We BOUGHT the hookbot to make things easier, and to explore, are you seriously suggesting that they don't give us what we PAID for? If you dont want the challenge to be lost, don't use hookbot But at least make it possible to win using him, he doesn't even have a gun! (and therefore cannot escape the ghost AT ALL) its one thing to make the game easy, its another to make the EASY mode IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN!

did you miss kepas post about all levels being designed for a specific character? sorry but I think a developers intention to make a level superceeds something you expect (you bought hookbot in an earlier update, all those levels are still ghost free). the hand is not a ghost it is a new ultra mad deity from another demension, thus negating your arguement. kepa, don't give in to the nerf bat. the new levels designed in any other way would detract from the overall quality of the game.
mabye so, but still, link can beat wallmasters with grappling hooks, why cant we? (see LoZ twilit princess, zants castle) We bought the hookbot under the impression we could explore with it, why not nerf hookbot or invalidate its results from the leaderboards,to say something is designed for a certain character is rubbish as well, ever heard of balance issues? and once again, we would like what we paid for how about this for how to please everyone? 1:hookbot gets no ghosts/wallmasters 2:hookbot gets lava/green stuff resistance (ie, acts like water to him) 3: no LEVELS get nerfed 4:hookbot characters are not allowed on the leader boards is that ok? you get the levels hard still, people with hookbot get what they paid for, the leaderboards are unaffected? how about that? remember, hookbot was made as a practice/easy/explore mode,what idiot decides to make practice impossible and the rest hard? (again, because of HB's max speed and lack of gun, the most he can get is 2% away before being caught)
