I got it lol, Im not sure how I missed the new golden skull If you guys ever need another beta tester I have no problems playing levels over and over. Have a good one.
Got this game a week back, and Ive played it nonstop the past couple of days. I'm #9 in Grand total score, but still miles away from the people that are in the top 5. I still have not beat the golden skull, and a have a tons of room for improvement in my golden rat and other skull runs. I would love to see someone post some of their top runs, would be nice to be able to trade ghost runs with a future upgrade. Taking a break for a bit, just wanted to make the top 10 lol
Done and done. Did it shortly after you said to, but forgot to post Oh, and I set the #18 record on the Leaderboard! But I have the lowest time...what happened there?
So I'm number 2 in overall score...considering that kepa is number 1, I think I deserve a hat or an achievement for it just kidding.I'll probally be pushed down to number 10 by the time I wake up xD
We don't need any new testers right now, but probably will later. I'll put a call out when we need some. Most likely on the blog or just these forums. That would be a nice feature (sending your ghost), but we've been kind of on the fence about it. I already decided against being able to see the best ghost run of anyone on the scoreboards without their permission: It gives away too many secrets. If you want tips, you can currently get good ghost runs from people by convincing those with high scores to send challenges to you. The most like explanation is that rat has an awful lot of secret loot areas. Missing a pile of loot really hurts your score, despite your time. Rat was designed to actually be not overly difficult, so long as you didn't try to get all the loot. Getting 100% loot while still outrunning the Rat Chaser is where it gets difficult.

I didn't find it that difficult to get the loot, just keeping alive above the acid pits was tricky with about 80pixels of space xD
I wouldn't be too sure of that; I had #2 basically since the evening of the update's release... which I find odd, since I haven't really touched it since polishing off top local on Gold Rat. My guess is that the really accomplished racers that could leave both of us in the dust aren't monitoring whether their scores get submitted to OpenFeint's leaderboards; I had to redo the entire Bull set and one Rat to get my scores submitted, and it was only after I'd done so for all of them that I rose to #2.
My guess is similar. I think that the really accomplished racers on certain levels only really play those levels. I tend to play each level randomly, so my total score is pretty high, though I don't really hone my score on any singular level. I'm surprised my score is still #1, actually. I don't get a lot of time to play my own game.
i was wondering when you switch your controls to Pro you get one new hat for beating one level. How else do you unlock hats with Pro controls on.
The vs challengermode is awesome but it's a bit crap you only get one try to beat it. I mean i can work for 30 min to make a perfect challenge, send it off, and then the guy dies in lava after 10 secs. He cant go again and I have to work my ass off to make a new awesome challenge. That is a bit crap imo.
Yea true. The person you challenge should get as much time as you had. Or..you only get one try, and if you don't get as far as you like, just start the process over. PG has a similar challenging system I think.
I'm not that particularly awesome at any certain level but I'm pretty good at them all. I just went through all of the levels and beat my previous best scores. The OF scoreboards don't count your old scores unfortunately. Comparing against kepa, I think I was within 100 or 200 points for his score on a lot of the levels and even beat him on a few /me braces for major ass kicking
Kepa: Note that if you have not already done so, incentivizing pro controls with 1-2 more hats for completion of additional levels (12/24) might be cool... for a future update, I mean; most people (including myself) will take the path of least resistance when offered a choice.
incentivize, incentivise [ɪnˈsɛntɪˌvaɪz]vb (tr) a. to provide (someone) with a good reason for wanting to do something why not incentivize companies to relocate? b. to promote (something) with a particular incentive an incentivized share option scheme Yep, it's a word.
Well, it is just a suffix so yeah, it is a word. Just for verification, in·cen·tiv·ize (n-snt-vz)tr.v. in·cen·tiv·ized, in·cen·tiv·iz·ing, in·cen·tiv·iz·es To offer incentives or an incentive to; motivate: "This bill will help incentivize everybody to solve that part of the problem" (Richard A. Gephardt).
Can anyone shed some light on where the hidden treasure is in Bronze Bull? Ive looked a few times and can't seem to find it.
