Hook Champ. Woot! Installing now. Even though I've been playing the beta for a while, it'll be exciting to have more people to challenge.
Quite a fantastic update but I do have one query. Are past accomplishments carried through to the OF achievements? I ask this because I have around fifteen 1st placings on the local scores (from past play) yet I do not have the OF achievements unlocked for the local scores. I can understand having to splat fifteen bats and even perhaps finishing a certain level again, but our local scores as well (as well as that #1 global score)? Unless of course something has happened on my end and your past score accomplishments are counted towards achievements. It would be nice to now this is the case or not. Thanks.
As far as I an tell from playing a little bit, once I got a new #1 on a local board it unlocked the achievements for the ones that I had previously. It seems your previous scores remain on the local and global leaderboards, but nothing you've previously done gets uploaded to the OF leaderboards. That's all stuff you have to do over. I might be wrong about some of this.
Any changes in the update to help those of us who are not so good at the game? Looks like an awesome update!!!
Great update so far! The rat levels are intense. I have only played the first two, and that rat demon is right up your ass! Not much time to explore. I like the ghost, but I start to focus on it and make mistakes during the current run. And the restart button on the pause screen is much appreciated. Great job on the game and update!
Awesome update Hook Champ devs I still haven't beaten the golden bull level *sigh* Do I unlock another new level if I beat it? Someone challenge me, OF username is jhanig I like the ghost I was racing with, it's a cool challenge.. EDIT: How do I unlock the other character?
I purchased the other character in the store. And it also looks like you select the different characters in the store.
Mine was already unlocked. Not sure. Maybe challenge someone to get it? I raced Kapa on the challenge and came back to find my shadowed self in the levels..
The ghost mode was on by default for me. You can toggle it in the settings screen. All you have to do is run through a level the first time, and then you should see a ghost. It won't show a ghost from a previuos best before the update.
I finally got my crown on Silver skull after days and days of playing. Great update, Anyone wants to challenge me my feint name is Nask26.
Jake gets Hot Pants now. It's a fairly cheap item that gives Jake (and only Jake) a single mulligan against dying in lava. It should make beating Bull a little easier! Jake will most likely get another item in the future, since right now Gunny seems a little better than Jake (if only slightly). Ha, the ghosts messed me up at first, too. You get used to it. Getting Gunny fully unlocked with her extra shotgun shots helps a little in Rat, but I made sure that Jake can ace Rat just as well as Gunny can. He might even be a little better in Gold Rat. If you beat Golden Bull, you now get 8 new levels instead of 4 new levels. It unlocks all the Challenge levels. It also unlocks the new character, so there's a heavy incentive to beat Golden Bull. It should be on by default. All you have to do is run a level more than once, and on the second run it will show your best time for that level. We couldn't have the ghost show your best time for runs before this update, for obvious reasons. Enjoy the update! Tomorrow: I'll start doing update 2 news!
