The water doesn't like anybody. I just tried playing Silver Frog and kept thinking how I'd rather be playing Golden Frog. Yes.
I didn't see this around, and I check out most of the thread. If I'm wrong, my apologies. MTV Multiplayer details about Rocketcats new game I imagine this could get its own thread? But I don't want to be the guy to start it.
It was posted on the previous page. To add some content to this post, officially requesting qpawn's lady friend as a hat addition in the next update (complete with sass).
seconded qpawn managed to: be able to beat any score given to him make all of us paranoid create a global conspiracy (because the internet is global ) and created some EPIC photoshops (that were on the same level as the official art) kepa, PLEASE put it in as an animated hat ...for all characters... and requiring the hat levels to be beaten... and costing 10000 gold (it's qpawn, we don't want it to be easy now do we? )
I was pretty angry the other day when I beat Gold Rat about 10 seconds after mikeg and only to come in second place. I then managed to beat the Stone Rat high score by 600. I laughed pretty hard... I'm having a lot of trouble with Silver Hat box. It's not possible with Hook Bot, which doesn't help me out . I've gotten to the 3rd set of fire rings, but the distance always manages to get me, sad part is I've only gotten there twice with Jake. Another issue I've found is that I beat Twindle in a challenge (He let me win) and I did not unlock the achievement. Can anyone challenge me and let me win so I can get it?
Skimming the thread (really busy): We were going to put in a "#X OpenFeint Score!" in the end of level score tally, but decided either not to or to delay it. Mostly just due to time constraints. Also because we really need to start parceling out our huge new features. In the next game we're probably going to lock Major Features in at release, then concentrate only on content patches. Major Feature patches are both extremely time consuming and not really popular, anyway. Jake won't be playable in the next game, but he'll make an appearance. Also, I really love the picture we made for that article. I'll have to put it on the blog at some point. I'll have to put lots of things on the blog... fan art, achievement guide, etc. Falling behind on that. I'll have time this weekend. I'm pretty set on not adding anything to Hookbot at this point. You'll have to use him to scout out the first 60% of Silver Hat, and then you're pretty much on your own. The speed fix seems like it worked great. Regardless, we're probably going to go ahead and put in the even more strong fix in update 4. Mostly it also just disables all particles. I'll check the thread periodically, but I'm trying to do final touchups to the Minigore levelset before beta. We keep adding new features for the gun. Each new feature for the gun requires me to do a level over.
Hey I was wondering if the game data is saved on the app or your Open Feint account. I wanted to wipe my ipod clean and reinstall it and was wondering if that would also get rid of all my data on Hook Champ?
The OF scores will remain. But, as Twiddle mentioned, you'll lose everything else. If you can backup your ipod (and restore from that), you'll keep everything. I had to re-install my iphone a couple of weeks back, and my backup had saved all of my game data.
+1 vote for in the 'cloud' save file. I have a few games on steam like that, and with my recent hard drive crash... love it! If it could get largely adopted on iPhone... I'd be so happy. I wouldn't be so scared to do a fresh wipe (I'm still on original iPhone 3G profile from 1.5 years ago even though I've gone to 3GS)
Why oh why did I pick Silver Skull as my level of choice to improve on? There are way too many blocks to bash through, and every tiny falter loses me another chance at #1. Oh well. Holding #1 on the weekly leaderboards (And #8 on all-time) for now. Improved score by thirty points. I am definitely looking forward to update 4. After racing at breakneck speed for level after level, it'll be fun slowing down and actually blasting stuff for a change of pace. Again, I cannot reiterate enough how much I love this game. I remember hesitating to buy it at first because it seemed really easy. (One of my main complaints about games in general is that I don't find them particularly challenging nowadays). After checking out this topic and hearing about the Forbidden Hats levels, I picked it up. I have never been happier to have a game utterly destroy me over and over. (Barely beat the Silver Hat a week ago) Keep hooking, guys!
