GameClub Hook Champ (by Rocketcat Games)

Hey guys have you beaten Stone Hat with Hookbot? I'm just tryin to beat these levels first, then playing them again with Jake/Gunny. Is there an order of which character i should use for each Hat level?

I beat Stone Hat with HB

 

I beat stone and bronze hat with Hookbot... working on Silver now, pretty hard.

 

How many jewels are there? How many coins do they add up to? I'm stuck looking for them near the frog pond part. I think there are some under and above this tunnel...

 

I believe Jewels are equal to 5 coins... and more points.

 

Same, but so far I haven't succeeded........those rings are tough.

What's the difference between the laser and golden hooks?

 

I don't have it yet but saw some people say earlier that there isn't much of a difference. Maybe just looks, maybe they hatch on better? Don't really know.

 

Isn't it possible to have a song in 8-bit, so that it takes up at most 1 MB?

 

Mostly the update right now, though we did start work on the new game.

The songs do that already. There's 4 songs. We couldn't make them any lower without noticeable quality decreases. We're going to try to use a different method in the next game that should let us squeeze more songs in.

 

What page was the songs on?

 

The songs were on page 257. Sadly they can't be in Hook Champ.

 

Gahh I'm 9 points off Mikeg on Stone Frog going to keep trying. 1 question, how can you hook to the coins at the start, theres nothing but the 2 rings? Thanks

 

I think he means the ones someone took from the beta version of Hook Champ. Someone wanted them to listen to out of the game so someone uploaded them.

Beat Stone Hat after the 3.5 update that was one loooooong section of single hoop jumps. was impossible with the input lag previously. Missed out on a section of gems at the start of the lava section though.

Then beat Bronze relatively easy but got hardly any loot, I'll have to go back to see that. Silver is kicking my ass though with the single hoop jumps being staggered in terms of height. xD

Have to go back to Stone and Bronze hat and bump up my scores...I will take back my place in the top ten overall top scores.

 

Beat Stone Hat with Hookbot a few minutes ago. First try on Bronze Hat and i get to 78% (or something near there) Second try i get 99%! D: One last jump and i would have made it...

How come when you get to the end you get picked up by the chaser? Or is that only for hookbot?

I made this in Adobe Illustrator, he should be a character in the next game, I even made it 256 color mode, although I only used like 6 colors. Pixel Art FTW!

Great news! i hope the next game is going to be equilly as popular as hook champ. The update will be great with John Gore. Great job and keep up the good work!

Sorry. I know it's not too big a deal but I finally beat Silver Hat. Finally. My word, that took me a long time.

Anyhow, Hook Champ is to video games what The Wire is to television programs.
