Not even close to first. I had everything a few months back, as I'm sure a lot of other people did. Anyone obsessively chasing high scores earns enough coins in the process to buy any new hats/hooks/etc as soon as they're added.
Hi guys, I've been looking at this thread for a long time and I've finally decided to make an account. Right now I'm trying to get the global #1 score for stone frog (not open feint, but it's my first time trying hardout haha) and I've been trying to do it with Zelle. But I noticed that Mikeg has got #1 with Jake and I was wondering if you could tell me any tips how you did it with Jake? Thanks Oh, and feel free to add me on Open Feint if you want. That's why i like Hook Champ and also GeoDefense... the balance in the gameplay is awesome, if i fail it's not because the game is cheap, but because I did a mistake. Couldnt finish the first Hat level, i was complaining that my game was lagging... then comes this update, i activate the speed fix, and at the first try i manage to finish the level. Now i am at bronze hat, do you have any advice to wich character i should use? I havent bought the DLC yet.. so it is Gunny or Jack
Welcome aboard Chief Indy! I actually did Stone Frog with Gunny. It seems that when you complete a level with another character that it changes the hat for all scores that show up on the weekly boards. The reason I use Gunny is that I use all 4 shotgun blasts. The key for me was to avoid the 2 sets of springs at the start. You can hook all the way up to the first cluster of coins. The second part is that wide-open section. You have to hit some of the rings, one set of springs, and then a rocket boost. That should get you to the far side. I feel like I'm still missing something there though. The rest is pretty straight forward. Avoid the next set of springs -- swing out so that you get under the coins, and then boost up to the high ceiling. Let me know if any of that doesn't make sense. I don't know if I should be passing along my secrets, since you already have a really good score. Haha! Good luck!
Yes!!!! I have almost achieved my goal of reaching #1 on a global leaderboard..... I got #30 on Stone Wimpy 5 minutes ago!
Me either, I want the crown so bad. Also, anyone noticed qpawn changed their pic? They changed it to a woman so I'm really unsure if it's a girl or a guy.
I finally beat my #1 local score on Silver Hat. I think my finger is going to fall off now. That "clear all data" button was becoming more appealing by the minute, as I tied my previous best time twice, but got 1 point less than my best. Time for a (short) break from playing HC.
