No gems on Stone Wimpy. You just really need to get your swings right so that you don't run into the walls and lose your momentum. Hard to do, but possible (that's how I got my best run).
I am on 3.1.2, I have to leave speed fix mode off or else the entire game is choppy. Plays as it always has when it's off, including a bit of varying lag when I get to that double lava part on stone hatbox.
about the qpawn reveal on monday... it will be a "big reveal" right? and everyone here will be wanting to know... what else could kepa be planning for a big reveal? (also, I found something out, I looked on google for qpawn, and there were a few things coming up, according to google, qpawn is: a politics simulator a bot that is talked about on toucharcade or a user on a forum, guess what the forum was... Mactheories (ps, kepa, in the new game, will there be an exploration character like hookbot? this new game sounds like a great thing to explore )
Just get the fireproof/acidproof thing. Oh, and get the latest update too. You need it to get the above mentioned item. I tried Stone Wimpy again, now I am 150 off. Sooo close.
Exactly. Mmmmmmm hmmmmmmm.... Ok, to show there's no hard feelings, I'll try to help you. Are you starting your levels with a shotgun blast? That's helpful on practically every level. And the first little nook you have to get through, right in the beginning, it's possible to swing thru that bad boy without hitting anything and slowing down. If I don't hit that first spot perfectly, I'll just immediately restart. The rest of the level is pretty self explanatory, but just know there's not really any spots that you have to slow down for. Just keep retrying over and over and over until your eyes start bleeding.
I've done both, but at 63% there is a large jump. I think because it can only use one rocket boost at a time that it makes it impossible to beat with Hookbot.
I'm actually not sure. It may not be possible. The level was designed so stringently to be Jake only. If so, you'd have to practice the level as Hookbot and actually beat it as Jake. We won't have an exploration character in the next game. However, 5 out of 6 of the game modes will be exploration friendly. Only the main game mode has the avalanche. You can take your time in the other five. Also, minigore levelset is in the upcoming update 4. We actually had to stop work on update 4 to do 3.5. The good news is that this means we're already really far along on update 4, so we're hoping to have it submitted in early February.
actually there is a corridoor that you need to boost through, but it needs 2 rockets here's a horrible ascii ---=lava ....=hookbot jumping distance with rocket ''''''=jake with 1st rocket ####=jake with 2nd rocket ------------------------------ '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''########## ......................... ------------------------------ because the rockets don't recharge, it is impossible to make it all the way through, try it.
stupid double post 5 game modes eh? (and yay, exploration friendly modes ^_^ the best friendly kind of mode for people who like to explore ^_^)
Yeah, I use Gunny for most levels. It's harder to go for high scores with Hookbot, he's mostly for exploring the levels at leisure. If you're getting that close with Hookbot, switch to Gunny and you should have no problem. Also, are you fully upgraded equipment wise? That was awesome. Maybe the next guide can be a layout of every level done completely in Ascii
Hookbot's rockets recharge. Just upgrade the coolant system the full way, and the rockets the full way, and you should be fine.
Yeah, just about, I got one upgrade left on my rocketboots, have all the fuel that you can use with Gunny, and have 3 shotguns. EDIT: Didn't do as well with Gunny, only got 4,927, with Hookbot I got 5,623.
sorry, I meant to say "don't recharge fast enough" my rockets are maxed out and so is the coolant, they get to 70ish by the time I die, the corridoor needs 2 rocket boosts, one immediately after the other however, it does act as a good way of preventing the people who completed the game entirely as HB from getting to the gold hatbox and its incredibly tempting yet elusive row of uncollectable diamonds
But there is nothing above or below the lava in that corridor; even though one wouldn't die from touching the lava, one simply falls through the lava and has nothing to hook onto.
