oh I got'cha. I thought you were talking about when you're still in the air after a dismount. in which case you will always grapple.
Blimey! I got so absorbed in upgrading the hook, rope and coin sucker thing that I barely noticed the shotgun....
Yeah, that kinda is what I mean but.... oh it's hard to describe. I think Kepa is aware of what I mean as he/she said this: "4. We messed around with the controls a ton, and extended beta because of it. I thought we did make the screen be clearly delineated between walking and grappling areas, but I'll need to check that. It's possible that it got reverted right before we sent it for release or something, as the control areas used to be relative to your character."
What amazes me is that there was so much hype of something such as Minigore which bores me to tears, and then this little gem seems to appear from nowhere and is just fantastic! It's nice to buy a 59p($0.99) app that is so polished and complete. I would like to don my hat to the devs in appreciation.
A perfect example of the control moan I was on about earlier: When you're underwater, no matter how low the touch the screen, the guy always grapples until your feet have touched the floor. In deep water I just want to be able to walk without my grapple gun keep going off like an unwelcome party popper. I also experience a similar issue when trying to get through breakable Walls.
Yeah, that's easy enough to fix. In the developer version the tap-areas are already absolute rather than relative. I could have sworn we put that in for the release version, but apparently not.
Lovin' the game! I would like DLC very much, I think 1.99-2.99 for 2-3 maps and 10~ hats would be fair, and i'd be glad to pay that. EDIT: Stuck on last bull level, last one to beat. Pretty hard, but i'll beat it eventually.
I finally beat Silver Skull, now I'm facing the "nearly impossible" challenge of Gold Skull! Anyone who beat it have tips? I've reached 55% but each hooking has to be timed perfectly to get through the level. This game could really use a walkthrough!
well, for golden bull, using both the gold rope and hook were very useful. Those are definitely needed to pass the level. I have shotty lvl 2 and double barrel, along with 3 rocket boosts and lvl 2 rocket shoes. When going too slow, like when you need to go up a little to continue on, make sure you cant reach the other side without making a leap unless you are sure that you can make it without any help. If you think you will, get as high as you can then use the shotty to boost forward a bit. Golden Bull actually took me less time to beat than Silver Bull for me
I hate DLC for the most part, especially buying more maps. We're doing free updates instead. I might do paid DLC if it was something wacky. Pay us 10 dollars to get a GOLDEN hat! Pay a dollar to get a new character that has a really short grappling hook but regenerating rocketboots! Stuff like that (Note: Those were hypothetical examples). Gold Rope, Gold Hook, Maxed Rocketboots, maxed or maybe one away from maxed rocketfuel, for starters. Oh, and save a shotgun or two for the very end, especially if your running shoes aren't maxed. Other than that it's just several tries and perfect timing! Gold Skull will probably always be the most precision-demanding level we'll ever make. If we make a level harder than Golden Skull, it will be harder in a different way.
Hey, we're New and Noteworthy now! I think? iTunes is pretty glitchy for me at the moment, but I see Hook Champ in the New and Noteworthy section on the general app store. Oddly, I don't see it in New and Noteworthy in the Games section, so that's weird. Maybe it's all a dream.
