Apple's stance on emulators is literally the only thing that makes me thing about jailbreak or Android. Even Windows Phone has emulators in the store.
But for 'normal' users that's not any good ! Waiting for build.io to sort out their non jailbroken version of retroarch
"has anyone tried to access root system through DiskAid on iOS 8.3 (better if it's old, i've ever used v5.48)??????????" iMazing (formerly Disk Aid) used the same trick as every other app, and they're all blocked from accessing anything in an app, unless that app has specifically enabled file sharing. DigiDNA have been telling people on Twitter as much, and the iExplorer lot are also looking into circumventing the new Apple reality, but haven't gotten far yet.
Picked this up in the hope that iexplorer or something will be updated to work again on 8.3, If not I'm seriously considering trying to down grade or jail break. Since I stupidly updated right away and lost access to add new Roms to mame and dos, a big "Doh!" On my part. ;(
It looks like there may be a work around with iExplorer without a jailbreak. http://www.jailbreakiosx.com/2015/04/ifunbox-iexplore-access-the-ios-8-3-apps-folder-failed.html Can someone with 8.3 and iExplorer please check it out?
Can you blame them? Emulators lead to piracy & piracy is a very terrible thing. Of course they do allow music downloading apps & the likes on the AppStore so why even prevent emulators at this point?
just tried this - can get the folder out and add to it but I have no idea how to get it back in. I'll keep at it though or go back to 8.2.
Is there a tutorial if you are not on 8.3? I am 8.1.3 and have IFunBox. How do I transfer the file into this app? Also do j have to be jail broken?
Just saw that there is an update for ifunbox that should get it to work on ios 8.3 if somebody can test it and let me know if it is safe to update ios
Do you have a link to this news? Just curious because I've been searching Google all morning and can only find info about their "partial" workaround.
The iFunbox update they just released does NOT work. It only allows access to apps that allow iTunes sharing (VLC, Pages, ComicZeal, Etc) I'm currently on 8.3 and downloaded this anyway. Eventually someone WILL make a workaround to access the root system again, its inevitable. Also remember to backup this app via iTunes in case they pull it. This app is a goldmine! Thanks to OP for giving everyone a heads up. Also if you haven't gotten this yet do it NOW, its getting some buzz via front pages on different sites so that means it will be pulled pretty soon!
