Hey guys, I've recently upgraded my home theater system by purchasing a Denon 3311CI AVR and some new speakers. I then decided to get a sub (Polk Audio DSW500) and it's the coolest thing ever..

I hook it up to my receiver using a LFE cord, and popped in a movie in my XBOX (HDMI) and it sounded absolutely AMAZING.

Then I decided to play some music from my phone using the iPod USB input on the reciever, and I'm not getting any bass from my subwoofer whatsoever. Thinking there was something wrong I go make a CD and put it in my XBOX (which worked during a movie) but still no sub bass:(

Anyone know what could be the problem? I know this is an odd site to ask on but I've already looked for hours and can't find a solution.

My receiver is set to multi-channel stereo. And the crossover is set to 80Hz with LFE+Main.

    Thanks

Only thing I can think of is were you burning the same tracks onto the CD that you tried to play on the iPod?

Possibly the sound quality on the tracks is too low to produce sub bass? Not sure if that's even a possibility, but it'd be easy enough to check, just put in an original CD or burn one with tracks in a lossless format.
