I'd like to know more details about the new iOS content, because the original game only took about 15-20 minutes to play through and was over too quickly (but was worth replaying a couple of times to check out alternative choices/paths). Minutes to play through it then I assume that this could be an extended Version since I am currently already 27. Minutes into the Game (HD Gameplay Trailer of it following soon) and it doesn`t seem to end so far. Spoiler: Spoiler Got out of the House, out of the Sewer and just pasted the Woods and seem to have found a Factory where I`m now trying to open up a Door that is connected to some kind of Mashine that I need to power up to get the Door open. It's pretty good, don't be misled by the 'horror' tag as its really more a suspense/whodunnit deal. It's got a nice unreliable narrator gimmick, and while I saw (what I interpret to be) the end miles away Spoiler after you lose your job and discover your wife's affair you went into a series of alcohol fueled psychotic breaks leading to "sleepwalking" and killing a number of the townsfolk, culminating in your wife and her lover It was fun getting there and nice to see the game continually ask you questions about how you see things. If that makes any sense. Surprised it's not getting any attention. :/ undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,486 2 36 Houston, TX #11 undeadcow, Jun 20, 2013 Would it be wrong of me to have concerns about the length of Home? Thanks for the kind words and for posting about the game. Pretty happy so far with how the iOS launch is going today; the press is all over it and all that, but most importantly, it's really nice to hear people are having a good time with the game. I know it can be polarizing sometimes, but it was an experiment that seems to be paying off. There are some great articles on The Verge, Dorkshelf and other places if you want to know more about the making of the gameor feel free to ask me any questions! Thanks, guys & gals. I'd welcome you to TA, but it looks like you're not exactly new around here. Still, welcome to TA and thank you for an incredible little "experiment". May I ask for the tiniest of stupid requests? With any random update, could you...ummm...please capitalize the bolded "a" in "Home - a Unique Horror Adventure"? I know it's silly...but...ummm, yeah. LestradeTGQ Member Jan 3, 2013 18 0 0 Toronto, Ontario, Canada #15 LestradeTGQ, Jun 20, 2013 Ha ha! You know, I think I fretted back and forth over that one for about half an hour. I guess I just liked the visual cadence of the lower-case "A" better. Secondly, while in the sewers I passed by the second grate, and while climbing the ladder I got some pop-up notification that looked like an error and then the game crashed on me. I don't see a crashlog on the device though. I'm playing on an iPhone 5 running 6.1.4. I'm going to try playing again in a bit and repeat the same discovery/pickup of items to see if I can repeat the pop-up and I'll post up if I can. It almost looked like the pop-up was saying it couldn't find something. EDIT: Actually my save brings me right back to the spot and gets the error again. ################################# FATAL ERROR in action umber 1 of <Unknown Event> for object objLeaves: Push :: Execution Error - Variable Get -5.txt_sw_end_wts4_v6(102096,-1) at gml_RoomCC_storyTitleSewer_Create ################################# LestradeTGQ Member Jan 3, 2013 18 0 0 Toronto, Ontario, Canada #18 LestradeTGQ, Jun 20, 2013 THANK YOU, Denkigrve, I've been trying to figure out where this issue is; someone else reported it but didn't send in the details. Very sorry you had to encounter a bug (and such a stupid one too, sheesh). I am on this and this will be sorted in the v1.4.1 update. To everyone else, I'm pretty stoked; the game just got featured in the App Store, so... wheeee! Denkigrve Member Mar 22, 2010 16 0 0 #19 Denkigrve, Jun 20, 2013 No worries dude. I'm just glad I could help you pinpoint what the issue was. The game is GREAT, even with the bug. I'll just start over and see if I hit it again. I wanted to change some of the choices I made anyway. I feel like I shouldn't have done one of the things I did. I thought it would help me, but it looks like my fears of making the choice were going to come back and get me in the end. It's that paragraph above and what I read on the Verge that really make me like this game. You left so much open to question, and I think it's so awesome that people will want to talk about their experiences, and try them out in different ways to see how the story unfolds for them. It's not easy to make something this complex, especially by yourself. Bravo sir. You have my respect. Nobunaga Well-Known Member Jun 2, 2012 1,094 0 0 #20 Nobunaga, Jun 21, 2013 Great little game. With a few bigger budget games out this week this one might end up being my favourite anyway. I actually glanced TA and didn't notice the thread, so, I started a new one. Congrats to the mod who caught it and deleted it, That was fast, and I prefer sanuku's already established thread. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
