I'll admit it......I got my ipod last year at christmas My girlfriend got it for me. So I'm one of the christmas dorks that everyone hates.....I can't wait for this christmas, where we'll get a whole new crop of retards and then I can take part in the christmas bashings!....Yay!!!

I don't know how to look for Albie's profile but I don't think he was one of the most prominent ones BEFORE he started doing his reviews. Arn noticed how great his reviews are and asked him to join fold formally. The EDNG era was a blast. He just about trolled every single NEW user. I think EDNG was here before me, he tried to troll me, it didn't work and we became friends. I pretty much cried about everything from Stupid ugly app icons, to non concatenated iphone dock names... it was an EPIC thread. I was the first to suggest devs put their games on their signatures since the influx of devs started around December and it's hard to recognize who's shilling or not. Anyone remember Zombie Mangle? I think that was one of the first cult faves here. Apple rejected it because of red blood, it got changed to green/blue blood and released as Alien Mangle. Moderators were introduced: I believe NotYou and WastedYouthe were the first two. Then a couple weeks later I think Hodapp came in (placed an avatar, started a fiasco), EDNG, pablo IBITF and many others got banned (I don't think it's related LOL). Then Pocket God hysteria came to play. I could go on and on and on. Point being. I don't think there was one entity who can claim superiority over the "ancient TA users". But this is who I remember from then: NotYou, Wasted, Pablo, Klondike, Danny, Deb, IBITF, Candy, Nugget, iStopmotion, tunawrap, andy, floob etc etc Then the only prominent devs before were eeen and Little Bear. Ok enough.
I was one of the ones who joined during the Christmas rush too. I used to love Pocket God, which is how I found the site. I lurked for a while and joined once I got over Pocket God. I've always thought FilthyCanadian is pretty funny but he still posts sometimes so it's not like he left.
Slapshot, any comment on this?? It's really bugging me how you are talking about TA days you were never around for =/ And that crown above me blows. I demand more sparkly things.
***Below is my own post from Aug that seemed suited to put here. Some former members do move on (to other forums as I've read here) or make a periodic post now and then or (like me) come full circle and immerse myself once again in the TA Forums. I remember when iTunes was just starting out and slowly chugging along fixing bugs/changes along the way. It was then that TA seemed genuinely real. Not saying it's not now for some but when TA was born and with the first members coming on board, it just had a different atmosphere then. I gained a wealth of knowledge from former/present members (thanks) and the the pre-Christmas discussions of 08' that turned into battles were exciting to watch/read unfold and then you'd get a few really "out there" people that would pop in with their first time post and stir things up and it would always turn into one wild circus. Don't get me started on the waiting factor for new game releases.....or is that still happening? Anyway.....sorry for a long read. ***************** Aug Post End of an Era: Ah yes...the days of an era gone by.....say ohh....nine months ago. Brings to mind when TA was as experience to be on when membership was less. Members were a little closer back then and comradery was strong and also can be of interesting read in the cellar archives. No one will re-call my name but was active here some when the occasion arose and iTunes with over 215+ reviews. But yea........I see a lot of others have moved on as I seemed to have. Can't believe how so addicting it all seemed at the beginning. I'm not burnt out or anything (always be a gamer)..........just that its all just too much of a good thing and I would just be adding to the already endless supply of games I already have that I'm trying to get through. Need some time away. Need to play...........
